Israel is the most hated country on earth. Anti-Zionism is a force that makes smart people stupid and good people bad. Anti-Zionism makes feminists and gay-rights activists support those who commit honor murders against women and homosexuals.

Israel is a small country. It would be an unimportant country if it were not the target for so much hatred. The ferocity of this hatred makes no sense whatever.

Complain loudly and publically, not only to to Google, but to sympathetic media in general. Google is now, I believe, a publicly-traded company, and will be responsive to anything that negaively effects their bottom line. Millions of Israel supporters threatening to boycott their advertisers (take, as an example, the religous right’s successful campaign to get shows like “Ellen” cancelled) will have the desired effect. Ditto any newspaper, magazine, TV/radio program, etc. that airs reports containing anti-Zion bias without attempting to get the truth (expect Palistinians/moslems to lie — it’s their nature, and reporting those lies does not, by itself, make a reporting entity anti-Zionist; but failing to get, and report both sides of an issue both violates the ethics of good reporting and, by itself, shows bias in favor of the other side). Meanwhle, try using Ask.com, or some other search engine.

A scheme by the “diabolically crafty and patient” Palestinians to plant propaganda in Google results? I thought that sounded interesting and plausable so I read the piece only to find that it was based on one(1) claimed example.

Phyllis mannaged the task of connecting one dot to reveal a diabolical propaganda scheme. I wondered about how that worked for a while, then I decided to look for more dots. I was looking for Palestinian propoganda sites that gave page-1 Google hits for searches. Here are results:

This diabolical Palestinian plot is completely useless. Or Maybe Phyllis is mistaken.

One reason that Phyllis extrapolated so enthusiastically was that the Palestinian deaths did not occur in hospital. The result was not as relevant as the others to what she was looking for. This shows it must be a plant! The main problem with that claim is that it is not true. Phyllis did not search for “avoidable deaths in hospital” she searched for everything that contains the words ‘avoidable’ AND ‘deaths’ AND ‘hospital’. Google isn’t psychic (yet) it just returns what you ask for. As far as Google knows ‘on route to hospital’ contains just as much hospital as ‘while in hospital’.

Then there is Phyllis’ claim that ‘There is no other example that Google links to which offers a political-military reason for hospital-based avoidable deaths’

If I tried to establish the circumstances around the death of every Palestinian for which Israel was blamed I wouldn’t have time to do anything else. A line has to be drawn somewhere and that’s where I draw mine.

WHO has much news which is, to understate, less positive but do any of us need reminding about that?
