i laughed out loud when palin cornered biden and got him (the 36 year politico) to admit "neither i nor barak obama favor gay marriage". especially funny was the obama sticker. barry would never have the guts to say outright what he thinks about anything. i am not even sure that he actually does think about anything. ironically, the guy is a gw bush clone. sarah palin was wonderful. great woman. very stand up person. forthright. the jerusalem remark and the strong unequivocal stance for isreal also cornered biden into stating his support for isreal, without ambivalence. she is really something. i can readily imagine palin getting the largest tax revenue in history from those oil moguls. she would be marvelous with bad guys from anywhere in the world. it sealed the deal for me. i can't stand barry obama, it fills me with disgust every time i have to hear his lies and constant oily slipping around on issues, and inability or unwillingness to be clear. biden, however, did say that he would sit next to obama in every meeting, an assistant president as it were (biden even had to state that he, himself would not be president). jeez. palin's energy and intelligence is so evident and she is so willing to go the distance. later, when asked about the withdrawal from michigan, palin said she and "todd" would go to michigan themselves and talk to the factory workers and home owners, because they have gone through this experience. i like her a lot. palin is a real populist, not a make-believe one. i could stand a palin presidency. very easily.

"He got in lots of details, lots of name dropping, lots of bills, issues, lots of history happened on his watch and he made sure we knew it." But not sure enough to notice that most of his cited "facts" were bogus, made up by him on the spot to score points.

To paraphrase Churchill: Plagiarist Biden would say: I know facts are good to me, I make them up.

And who lowered her expectations??? She did not lower them. The media and the hate mongers on the left did that. She stated she will not preach to us or try to convert us; she stated that she has a best friend from childhood who is gay? She has indicated she will do nothing to harm them. We all can't think alike. So she thinks being gay is a choice. A lot of people think that; and we really don't know because we have not totally resolved the nature/nurture question. We have enough stuffed shirts in WA; we have enough people manipulating the system, and enough of career politicians. I have anyway. Go PALIN!!

So glad that you were one of the very few bloggers who caught the comment that Gov Palin made regarding the intent of a McCain-Palin administration to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem. It's quite clear that speaks volumes regarding the intent of their Middle East policy.

I applaud Sen McCain and Gov Palin for having the courage to speak about this, considering the fact that no other administration would even seriously entertain the notion of publicly calling for a undivided "Jewish" Jerusalem.

One can only wonder what a State Department under their leadership would look like. Perhaps, for the first time ever it will actually be composed of those who are not apologists for Arab oil interests

So glad that you are one of the only bloggers who caught the statement made by Gov. Palin about the US moving its embassy to Jerusalem. That's an extremely powerful and important statement, considering the fact that no other previous administration would even entertain the notion as it was way too politically charged. The fact that Gov Palin said this speaks volumes about the intent of a McCain-Palin administration. Perhap, under their leadership, the State Department will actually be composed of those with the courage to stand up to Arab pressure.

The elephant in the room for the Democrats is the GSE's, which have been used to game the free market, with lot's of congressional participation in both the gaming and the corruption aspects.
Every time government games the market, it kills the market.
Government needs to set up and enforce rules for the real players; level paying field, honesty, with penalties for the insiders and crooks that violate the market rules that are tough enough to deter the squeamish at least.
As long as Fannie and Freddie have Barney Frank, Chris Dodds, and yes, Joe Biden in their corner, you will never see that black hole filled.
By the way, I thought Sarah did well last night. I just wish she had gone after the Democratic ticket (both Fannie and Freddie contribution takers) for their role in the debacle.
She may yet.
One of her trademark debating techniques is to basically ignore the current stupid or trick question and talk about something the audience really wants to hear. I'd like to hear someone call Biden on his someletely wrong interpretation of Article 1 and Roe V Wade, among other things. I'd like the Republican ticket to call Obama on his continued assaults on protected 1st Ammandmend speech (the Obamabot swarms and the threatening tactics that coopt State law enforecement) in a debate forum to give him a chance to squirm in public.

As I sat down to watch Sarah, as most people were, the main stream media, includeded. You could feel the tension through the screen. The blood rushing, heart pounding pressure that was on this extraordinary lady.
She handled it beautifully, with grace and dignity.
He partriotism shewed through, and her strength of character. The character the main stream media would like to snuff out and wish she would just go away!
We need strong, indecisive, leadership, with by someone with a love for America, a respect for our troops, and moral character. Someone that is not afraid of not being "politically correct". Praise God he has raised up such a person for such times as these!
