The Islamic Version of Orwell’s “1984″ Is Upon Us

How can we keep repeating ourselves without losing heart? What more is there to say? Telling the truth does not seem to work. The Big Lies, as well as the foul deeds, keep on happening. Expose one lie: A hundred more rise up in its place. Kill 100 Taliban and a hundred more take their places. We, who are still safely behind enemy lines, absolutely must keep documenting the hate speech and the terrorist atrocities; it is a profound form of resistance. One can tell that it is a form of warfare by the considerable toll it takes upon one’s body and soul.

How many times can one document the rise of the new anti-Semitism and the demonization of Israel? I have been doing so since 2001, both in a book (The New Anti-Semitism) and in hundreds, maybe thousands of articles, lectures, interviews. There are now hundreds of us who are also doing this heavy lifting: pundits, bloggers, distinguished authors, grassroots activists, retired folk. Some voices are outraged, many are maddeningly reasonable and consummately accurate. Still, the blood libels keep coming at us, without respite.

How many times can we document the nature of Islamic and terrorist religious and gender apartheid? Again, I and others, have been doing so for many years. Just today: I learned that six Pakistani men gang-raped a 14 year-old girl in front of her bound-and-gagged parents because they are all Christians. The Islamic Republic of Iran just arrested and jailed three converts to Christianity. (Leaving Islam is considered a capital crime). A judge in Egypt told 24 year-old Christian convert, Martha Samuel Makkar, who was caught trying to flee the country, that “If I had a knife I would kill you.” Miraculously, he allowed her to go free. (Her extended family have threatened to kill her).

The Taliban have been shutting down schools for girls in Afghanistan and throwing acid in the faces of those who persist in attending. These human demons are branching out into Swat, Pakistan where they have already destroyed 169 schools for girls. The area is, increasingly, a “no go” zone, even for the Pakistani police, hundreds of whom have been shot, beheaded, or otherwise slain for trying to protect civilians.

Now, the local Taliban leader, Shah Doran, has demanded that civilians listen to him nightly on the radio or risk being lashed or be-headed. Doran outlines newly proscribed “un-Islamic activities like selling DVDs, watching cable television, singing and dancing, criticizing the Taliban, shaving beards and allowing girls to attend school.” Doran also announces whom he plans to execute the following day. Either one flees or “turns up headless and dumped in the village square.”

One resistance fighter, Pir Samiullah, fought the Taliban. They killed him but he was buried in a secret location. The Taliban kept beheading people until they revealed the place of his burial. They dug him up and hung his body in the square. Then, they desecrated it. They also displayed the bullet-ridden body of one of the city’s most famous dancing girls “splayed on the main square.” Another Taliban terrorist, one Maulana Fazlullah, commands hundreds of fighters who roam the valley with “sniper rifles, Kalashnikovs, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, mortar tubes…night-vision goggles and flak vests.”

The civilians are terrified. They will not rise up against their tormenters. Thus, even if they are peaceful, moderate Muslims they, like the civilians in Somalia, Sudan, and Gaza, will not stop the advance of the barbarians. Even Nato feels it is losing its battle against the Taliban in Afghanistan due to “tensions within the alliance.”

However, and this is the subject of another article: Europeans are not stopping their forward progress either but are, rather, protecting Islamic hate speech and mob violence as a civil right–even as the Dutch attempt to silence Geert Wilders for having directed a film which tells the truth about Islamic terrorism. The British Parliament just cancelled its showing of his film (Fitna). And, as I’ve previously written, the London School of Appeasement and Terrorism dis-invited or banned Douglas Murray from chairing a panel about Islam and Liberalism.

This is coming our way if we do not stop it. We will find ourselves living in an Islamified version of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale or, of course, George Orwell’s 1984 or Animal Farm.

I read your comments faithfully. I agree, the war is already here. This war will separate the sheep from the goats. I beieve God is really in charge, but we are to do what we are able as his eyes, ears, hands and feet.

When I reviewed THE NEW ANTI-SEMITISM, I included the question, “Will Chesler’s book—personal, emotional, yet filled with facts—change any minds?” Unfortunately, the book did not attract the attention it deserved, and the attention that the world needed. The world needs the book more than ever now.

I read Orwell’s “1984″ in 1984, when I was living in China. What could have been more appropriate? China is freer today than it was then, but it has a long way to go. I always repeat the Chinese proverb “Bu pa man, jiu pa zhan” (Don’t fear slow progress, just fear no progress). Perhaps freedom is progressing in China, but the struggle against anti-Semitism has made no progress at all.

You must keep writing for all of our sakes.

On the one hand, there is the endless repeetition of the deniers of the Holocaust with all that this evacuation of truth implies. On the other, the falisifers of facts who want to create another Holocaust committed by Jews/Israel;is against Palestinians. In between, the nonesense of the politically correct who deny that there is a mad, barbaric presence already crept into the very bowels of our civilization; and who call those speak out the victimizers and the criminals.

Phyllis, what you and others is accomplishing IS important. It WILL make a difference. We should all watch the World War Two era film, “Watch on the Rhine”, about an American woman and her German husband. Set in 1936, though released in 1943, the film shows the family visiting her mother’s home in America. They must explain, somehow, to her well to do mother and her carefree brother and friends that her husbands profession is…Fighting Fascists. They are poor, they are on the run, they risk arrest, torture and death every day…but they WILL NOT STOP. The long arm of the Gestapo invades even their quiet refuge in sleepy America, exploding, so to speak, in their very living room, awakening the family to what is coming to the whole world.
In the movie, Phyllis, the daughter uses the same language you do; “You don’t know what’s coming, it’s growing, this evil is growing, but soon you won’t be able to hide from it anymore”
Even as the mass of our people sleeps on, still our efforts is creating a hard core of dedicated people who DO understand, who aren’t afraid to FIGHT. When the final act comes, as it must, and the masses shake in panic and confusion, their will that hard core to explain and lead.
Churchill wasn’t recognized until it was too late. But THEN his leadership was desperately needed AND accepted.
Now we only see the sleeping masses, but for every thousand of the maddeningly unresponsive sleepwalkers there are always a few more that UNDERSTAND and who then begin to talk to others.
There is an ancient Greek military teaching:
“Out of a hundred soldiers, 90 are almost useless, just a barrier to slow down the enemy. Of the remaining ten, 9 are good fighters, who will stand and fight effectively…but the last of the hundred…he will fight, he will lead, he will inspire…he is a WARRIOR, and he will carry the day and assure the victory”.

Phyllis in answer to what some of us can do.
For 2 years now, I have been making up laminated bookmarks that ask people to check out Sharia and Wahabbism for themselves. Right now, I am placing the bookmarks in various places. They read “Sharia is offensive to freedom”. I also send people as many cartoons which show “the peaceful” religion of Islam for what it is. I ask people to define “moderate Muslim” and I show the film Obsession to everyone who will watch it. Please keep going, there is a gathering threat like nothing American has ever seen or imagined.

What do we do? We vote for people with sense and against committed idiotarians. We call the moonbats on the facts when they bark in our faces. We show the people we meet that facts and reason matter, that courage and patriotism are still possible and that their opposites are shameful. Most of the moonbats are tribal crowd-followers who are overly susceptible to shame; isolate them so that they have to defend their positions and they crumble. Not all will crumble, of course. But even the hard-core can only act when surrounded by an army of rodents.

1) Advocating the use of force against the jihaddis.
2) Spreading awareness of the facts.
3) Encouraging active resistance to sharia.
4) Providing what little support and encouragement I can to brave souls like the author of this site.

I like to think it’s better than nothing.

Why don’t you tell us a few about Judeo-Nazis terrorism in Palestine since 1948 ?
