Buddy,

If the "Joos" were not after him, suffering the Pogroms, everyone beneath Stalin (with any power) was trying to find a way to off him, and, walk away in his shoes.

The Plots and Counter-Plots within the various Secret Agencies and Departments probably killed half of Moscow in their Inter-Agency Wars...they all wanta Dacha's on the Black Sea.

Gordon, Stalin had decided (surprise!) da Jooos were after him, and he was gonna strike first --the "Doctor's Plot".

Blert,

The article I read was written shortly after Stalins death, and, covered why the 'Bloody Dwarf" made his move, but, it didn't say what type of poison was used. With the resources at the disposal of the Secret Police, he could have called up the medicine cabinet of a gentle Lady of the House of Medici.

Buddy,

It's too bad that Hitler didn't have a Dwarf of his own, with reflexes a little faster than Berias.

I've never read anything about the "Doctors Plot," would you by any chance have a Link? The Romanov's are on my Bloodline, and, I'm interested in anything to do with Russia or the USSR, specifically if it deals with internal Plots and Cross-Plots.

I'll do a search on Beria, and, "Doctors Plot."

The consensus is that Beria used Warfarin....

Based on the symptoms.

At the time Warfarin would have been new and novel. It is tasteless and can be ingested right along with the victim, should the need arise. A counter-drug could be taken before or after.

Beria made his move when it became obvious that Stalin was going to 'refresh' his crew: ie retire the old guard.

Buddy,

There is a good chance that Stalin was poisoned, and, the little dwarf, Berin (Head of Stalins Secret Police), set up a vigil at his bedside to ensure it happened.

...and Castro, Che, saddam, et al, in turn worship Stalin (he died in power, a winner), "...because that is who they’d like to be. If they had the courage."

well...they do (did) have the courage --just not the guns, thank goodness.
