Is there any favorite stories, about the detainees, who have committed suicide and the detainees that have been on hunger strikes?

And would those detainee tales, also be told with a chuckle by uniformed officers?

EDITORS NOTE: Two hunger striking prisoners, who had been ordered by (fellow detainee) cell leader to give up solid food, have been fed with feeding tubes for more than a year. The detainees are cooperative and the guards feel sorry for them. One told me that he has repeatedly begged them to eat solid food, which is offered to them daily. They are not laughing, they feel this hunger-strikers are the victims of a more powerful terrorist leader elsewhere in the camp.

Yes, Mr. Ferreiro, it is all true in Iraq “detainees” are pampered in the exact same way no matter what.

To Any Doubters: Can you prove that this is not true?

Ever wonder why the terrorists have not pulled off another attack since 9/11?

Fact is that they don’t need to. The liberal drive-by-media, politicians and liberal thinkers are doing their work for them. These people are destroying America much quicker than the terrorists could. The terrorists can just sit back and watch the liberals do their job for them.

These people have done everything to show us that they are at war with us. The politicians, lawyers, psychologists, etc., are all working on the premise that we are not at war.

Well America, we are at war. These people are given far too many “perks”. We need to start treating them as the enemy, ones with information that may save numerous lives not only in America, but throughout the world.

Re: not allowed to touch the koran (intentional use of small letter) because you are not a believer, I will be traveling to Borders and Barnes and Noble today and make sure to touch all of the korans on the shelf.

By the way, how can I go about becoming a detainee at Gitmo? It would give me better living conditions and save me a ton of money.

Stories like this make me wonder whether America deserves to win a war on terrorism. We’re so reverential to their religion and so contemptuous of our own that I wonder what we’re fighting for. Why not just adopt Sharia right now?

Punish that Pelosi person for her forwardness, her failure to cover herself completely, her makeup and her disrespect toward the President.

Nail everyone else in Congress for shaving.

Flush all these detainees along with their Korans.

Undoubtedly they’re treated better than they deserve. Contrast their treatment to what happens to any US citizen unfortunate enough to fall into jihadi hands; I’d eat a grenade first.

However, overfeeding them is a brilliant strategy. If they ever do get out, they’ll be in no shape to fight. Nor will any attempt on their part to claim torture have much credibility.

I just read this article in my father’s American Legion, and it is one of the best pieces I’ve read in a long time. It certainly gave me a mix of emotions. Part of me thinks that it is truly beautiful that America will pass on it’s own undisputable rights to it’s captured foes. On the other hand I was disheartened by that fact, that America would potentially risk the lives of it’s citizens by not being more proactive towards getting whatever vital information these “detainees” hold, using whatever means necessary. In my honest opinion, America is too advanced in it’s humanitarian efforts, at least when dealing with something as indiscriminatly inhumane as insurgency. It reminds me of Marlon Brando’s monolog from Apocalypse Now when he is talking about what the NVA does to the children after they had been inoculated by the Special Forces.

Either way, It makes me proud that America will set such a high standard for the way humans should treat humans. Thank you for the best piece of journalism I’ve read in a long, long time. There are a lot of people I know who need to read this article.
