If this is art, then the "Saw 1-4" series of horror films are art films too. This is ugly, sinful exhibitionism from a sick person. We can debate whether this should be banned, but there is no reason why any reputable organization has to endorse this ugly garbage.

I was appalled, but not surprised, that these sort of antics have occurred at my alma mater. Yale, like most Ivies, is burdened with faculty born of the radicalism of the 1960s who are intellectually imprisoned by their leftist beliefs. I attended a conference at Yale on "sustainability." The subject of nuclear power came up, and the response of the Dean of the School of Forestry was essentially that he had spent his life opposed to nuclear power, and would only support it if a laundry list of things happened (i.e., never). So much for open-mindedness about reducing reliance on fossil fuels and carbon loading of the atmosphere.

This sort of "art" displays about as much talent and aesthetic merit as taking a dump on a plate. Any chance her professors will flunk her?

Perhaps. It appears the university is considering flunking the professors for letting this happen.

Maybe there are some adults on the scene after all.

RE: By the Way...

....there is a simple way to prove or disprove Shvarts' contention that her work is genuine.

A simple DNA sample. And it need not violate the artistic work in any significant manner. "A bit off the flank," as some Orc put it in The Two Towers.

Regards,

Chuck(le)
[Is it hers? Or did she do it by skulking about a Planned Parenthood 'facility'?

TO: All
RE: The Plot 'Coagulates'

It seems that there IS an art exhibit by Shvarts. And it is apparently on display.

Meanwhile, Yale, that—as John H points out—mental institution without locked doors at night, is howling for Shvarts to 'confess'.

Why am I reminded of Harlan Ellison's famous tale....

....Repent, Harlequin, Said the Ticktockman

Obviously Yale is extremely upset about the situation the 'artist' has put them in. Their Ticktocks are in a dither and beginning to remind me of a Monty Python moment....

....Noooobody expects the Artist Inquisition!

Regards,

Chuck(le)
P.S. It would be funny, if it were not so tragic, at the same time.
