Tall tales from the Federal Register: Palestinian refugees, coming to a town near you Or, what happend when your back was turned

Welcome to the drama called “Billing code 4710-10-P.”

Once upon a time, there were a few hundred thousand Palestinian refugees that no Arab country wanted. Along came Prince Obama, riding on the backs of the American Taxpayer, and he said: we’d love to have ‘em here in the US of A! What’s more, my trusty steed will pick up the tab to bring ‘em here and keep ‘em safe till they grow old enough to protest against the evils of capitalism and the American way of life.

It doesn’t sound quite so good in The Federal Register, but you’ll get the point:

Presidential Determination No. 2009-15 of January 27, 2009

Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related To Gaza Memorandum for the Secretary of State

By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 (the “Act”), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I hereby determine, pursuant to section 2(c)(1) of the Act, that it is important to the national interest to furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to exceed $20.3 million from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs, including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.

You are authorized and directed to publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.

It would be interesting, would it not, to see what else gets charge to Billing code 4710-10-P?

Arabs from this place are the black sheep of the Arab family: no arab country wants them or will take them.

Neighboring Egypt has opened fire on them trying to flee Gaza to sinai. Wherever they live in arab countries, they are noticed and judged by their ethnicity and despised, so what of arab unity?

Ramzi Youseff grew up in a Paleo community in Kuwait. Never felt apart of his greater arab extended family community there. Youseff was driver and ignition man on Feb. 1993 attack on World Trade center.

Money, 1 billion proposed to go to Gaza, now so-called refugees coming here, who are raised to hate U.S.A. no matter what we do for (!) them. Not good candidates in the least. Let’s go for Europeans with tech and other skills who have something positive to offer us in terms of job skills, and who already know and love American way of life, willing to “sacrifice” (as Obamas loves to say) to build a better life for this country, themselves and their families: The best of our Heritage, without the socialist predetermined place in their paradigm. the miserable thing they want to flee..

Palestinians in general are the most accomplished and intellectually astute among the Arabs. When they are given the opportunity they almost invariably tend to rise to the top. Racially, they are closely allied with the Syrians and Lebanese.

They are very different from, say, Gulf Arabs, Egyptians and maghrabi (western) Arabs (all of whom they generally hold in secret contempt, though they’ll never tell you that).

It is for this reason that no Arab nation will have them. In a phrase, they are afraid of their talents and ambitions. It is for this reason too that, paradoxically, the Palestinians have become the Jews among the Arabs, outcasts in their own lands and shunned by all. (A large percentage of Palestinians as Christian, by the way).

If I had to select a group of Arabs to emigrate to the US, my first choice would be Palestinians. They would almost certainly need very little supervision and “welfare benefits” assistance.

Within a generation, if not sooner, many of them or their descendants would be solidly in the upper middle classes socially and financially. In this way, they are very similar to the Armenians, another relatively unknown group who have reached pinnacles of power in the US (governor of California, for instance).

I know this uncharacteristic paean to a group generally portrayed as a rabble of semi-terrorists and bandits must seem like the musings of someone out of touch with reality.
You can believe that if you want, but I’m pretty sure I know what I’m talking about.

Their political leaders and Hamas and so on, well, that’s a different subject. With them, I have little sympathy. But as a people and a nation, the Palestinians have generally been given an undeserved bum rap in the West.

$900M to Hamas, $20.4M to Palestinians to assist migration to America. Pres. BHO’s deep bow before the Saudi King. Pres. BHO claims, in a speech in Turkey, where the historical heart of Orthodox Christianity is undergoing slow strangulation and no Christian churches can be built, Islam made great contributions to America.

I’m starting to wonder if Robert Ferrigno’s Assassin series is not, in fact, future history.

#2 Sentinel:
very good comment, I hope you are right. I can think of a Palestinian who emigrated here, worked in State department, cheered Rome and Vienna attacks, as well as all others, until the day he renounced it all and converted to the common religion of Palestinians, christianity, for the sake of his mortal soul.

Palestinians have been blighted by the poison of the Egyptian Yasur Araphat’s domination for a while now: people there are conscripted as children into the arab/egyptian cult of death in violation of all international laws regarding such conscription of children. Many there want to escape the incestuous arab/egyptian cult of death, and many will make the most of their new opportunities here.

Let’s just give them a civil service exam, (something 0bamas would never do, or pass- too much documentation required), and lets have our convert conduct it, in order to ferret out the die hards

Geez, folks get a grip. This money is not for IMmigration. It’s aid to the displaced Palestinian refugees and the people in Gaza who were caught in the recent firefight. Why can’t you all get your facts straight?
