Ms P reminds me of a guy I worked w/in Pgh. looked a lot like gabby hayes. says he took part of his pay and put it in an FU fund in case he wanted just go away for awhile. everyone I kno wants to have the freedom to tell the world to take a flying leap. few have the ability (read cash) and the guts (huevos) to do so.

wish i had married a woman like Ms P – i might not have lived to tell about it but it would have been worth the ride. no dealing w/self-image problems and whining. but if i can’t deal w/whining, why am i on the i-net?

Stepping down was the best thing Palin could do for AK, because she had done what she had primarily come to do, and her Lt. Gov. could take it from here. What’s the problem? She now has bigger fish to fry.

“It’s unfair and disgusting on the media’s part, and you and I wouldn’t have to do it. But someone who wants to be president of the USA should.” I am thinking that she would have stood up to that, but the continuous legal harrassment by folks who have nothing to do but file frivolous lawsuits prevented her from doing her job. While I am sure some folks feel that it would have been the right thing to do to just keep her head down and collect her paycheck until she was bankrupt and the State of Alaska was out a few million dollars, I don’t see it that way. What the media and various commentators (read as folks who would rather comment on someone else’s job than doing it themselves) did was reprehensible; what the folks — real and imaginary — that filed those lawsuits did was literally criminal, and they ought to be prosecuted.
