Fresh deadly clashes rocked, today, the Northwestern City of Mian-do-Ab as armed assailants made a surprise attack against the Security HQ. The action has resulted in several deaths and injured among the regime forces, including Colonel Razmjoo, and three of the attackers.

The October 10th entry, partially quoted above, demonstrates an interesting trend that has recently surfaced in Iran. In the past, discontent towards the Moolahs (got to love that Bushism) by spontaneous rioting. Brick and molotov cocktails.

I've got myself on some sort of a Irani dissident mailing list, and over the last several weeks there have been several incidents, like the one described above, that show a more deliberate insurgency. It seems the Irani resistance is increasingly staging planned attacks on regime security forces.

I've mentioned before that the Iran/Iraq border is porous in both directions. I wonder how much of this new strategy on the part of the Irani resistance is armed and trained in Iraq?
