1. Wallace:

The assasination of election officials reminds me of “my war”….Vietnam, where the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong strategy was to terrorize the local populace by brutally killing those local leaders who were standing up to their tyranny. For the most part it didn’t stop the Vietnamese from opposing them but it did affect some of the the weak leadership in the U.S. thus snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

In this way Iraq is similar to our experience in Vietnam and is a lesson we should think about every day. The elections in Iraq must go on.

A movie review should have a movie to review, so, from Sergio Leone to Sierra Leone, and beyond, there is Hotel Rwanda to consider.

Sorry for the digression.
