I’ve noticed 1 thing in the SS debate, they’re equating SSI w/SS.

Can’t let them do that, 2 different things.

We getting into discussions as to what “general welfare” really means.

Not even a hint of rational discussion of the subject. Of course that means other people will end up making the difficult decisions because the left is too busy holding its breath until its collective face turns blue.

I don’t find much interesting in a search on MP Byrne other than the typical Labour associations – Fabian Society, etc. ( From their Web site – The Fabian Society is the UK’s only membership based left of centre think tank. The two stories are a perfect example of the moral bankruptcy of the left. There is only one opinion that is allowed, anti-Bush, anti America. Even when an avowed marxist steps out of the box and goes against the flow he suddenly becomes a supporter of quislings and sychophants. They do not attack his ideas and positions, they simply say he supported the war, so automatically he is shunned from the group. Stalin,Mao, and Hitler would be impressed by the party discipline.

It does seem that the quality of Dutch irony has declined somewhat since Erasmus’s day….
