The CNBC guest list for the show says that you write for US News and World Report.

Oh well. So long as you don’t get introduced as that other Roger Simon (sans L) …

Good luck at Kudlow’s!

(Maybe he’ll introduce you as Roger “with an L.” Simon?)

Rats — I’m out on a gig and can’t watch. Break a leg.

Roger:

Great job! It was amazing to see a TV panel talk where the pundits didn’t talk over each other and when they had finished their point they stopped talking. As the writer of far too many long rambling posts your ability to be concise is impressive.

P.S.- You are probably too much of a gentleman to do it but nexttime wear your hat. It is a great branding tool and it may even lead to some comped hats. Help bring the fedora back!

No mention of oil-for-food but I’m glad Roger’s appalled by the Larry Summers heresy trial. Note that those standing up for the con-artist Ward Churchill are nowhere to be seen in the defence of free speech in the Summers brouhaha. I attended a PC university in Canada and I can barely recall a single proper debate in any of my history tutorials and seminars because we all knew there could be unfortunate consequences if we took a position that wasn’t “ideologically sound” as they used to say. Conform or be cast out!

Nicely done. Kudlow is very good at getting interesting guests.

Someone tell Matt he’s allowed to crack a smile over Howard Dean.

Roger:

hey hey…It was interesting actaully seeing people. I was surprised at how serene you seemed.

And Coisty is right in regards to the whole Harvard thing. I am a woman and I don’t think Summers was half as offensive as that Ward Churchill character.

Feb 18, 2005 - 5:13 pm 9. WichitaGirl:

Terrye, I completely agree with your comment vis a vis Summers and Churchill. Churchill’s being a tenured professor at CU offends me down to my socks.

Feb 18, 2005 - 7:03 pm 10. Kyda Sylvester:

I’m not the least bit offended by Larry Summers’ remarks. In fact, I agree with them.
