Holy Toledo, you have GOT to read the profile of Kofi Annan in this week's New York Magazine!

It is unintentionally hilarious: http://newyorkmetro.com/nymetro/news/people/features/11839/index.html

It hangs all of Don Kofi's troubles on bad boy Kojo. (How did Kojo find the time to rape all those kids in Cambodia and Congo and Kosovo? How did he trick Ruud Lubbers into groping the staff? How did he get into WIPO? How did Kojo manage to get Libya into the Human Right Commission chair? etc.)

There are plenty of funny vignettes, too. Sample: Kofi was so stressed that he lost his voice after Operation Iraqi Freedom.

A fisking is here: http://noonshadow.blogspot.com/2005/05/anton-chekhov-interviews-kofi-annan.html

Hey my American friends, you would have turfed your leaders out ages ago if they behaved as poorly/immorally as our Liberal Party leaders here in Canada. Here's a few notes so you can guage the character of the Liberal Party and the folks they choose as their leaders.

Jean Chretien: (former PM)

About two years ago, an opposition MP tabled a bill called the "Sex offenders Registry" which meant that every sex offender would have to submit a sample of DNA. Every rapist, child molester, or flasher would be on this list, and it would be given to the police. The offender would have to report his whereabouts to the local police. The original bill was to be retro-active, so that every known offender would be on this list. Here's the sick part. Jean Chretien refused to order his party to support the bill unless it was NOT RETRO-ACTIVE. THis meant every pervert who had already been caught....would not be on this list. Only NEW perverts would be subject. One could ask why Chretien demanded this registry not be retro-active until you dig a little deeper for a reason. Well, I did dig a little deeper and here's what I found.

At the time the Bill was being debated in the House of Commons, Jean Chretien's son Michael was in court facing his THIRD TRIAL for raping a 15 year old girl. Chretien's son Michael had already spent time in jail for rape, and child-molestation. If the bill passed as intended by the MP who tabled it.....the Chretien name would be on the sex-offender registry. The changes were made according to Jean Chretien...and now his THRICE convicted son is not on the list.

What does that say about the character of this man? What kind of person would be willing to risk the safety of our wives and children simply to protect his family name? I'll leave it up to you to decide.

Paul Martin:

Was hired by Maurice Strong (yes...the same one) when Strong was president of Power Corp. (of the Desmarais clan). Under his tutelage (sp?) Paul Martin rose in the ranks and replaced Strong when Strong moved on to the diplomatic scene (helped by Liberal Power brokers appointment). Now, as the new president of Power Corp...Martin was in a unique position to enrich himself....and he certainly wasted no time doing just that. Folks in Canada see Paul Martin as some type of financial wizard....but the reality is that he has used his connections and influence with the liberal Party to become a success....hard work had little to do with it.

Now...what did Mr. Martin do when he became president of Power Corp?

Well, for starters, he lent himself the money borrowed from Power Corp...to buy Canada Steamship Lines....which was OWNED BY POWER CORP. at the time. Pretty clever eh?

After Canada Steamship Lines was safely in his pocket, Martin went on an acquisition spree, and became the owner of billions of dollars in businesses. How profitable was it? Well, after buying Canada Steamship Lines (CSL) he promptly fired all of his Canadian workers who were earning between $18 and $30 per hour with Philipino's who will work for $5 per day. Then, when he became Finance Minster for the Liberal Party he changed a few tax laws that allowed him to move his holdings offshore. Instead of paying the Canadian norm in taxes of about 36%...this move allowed him to pay Canadian taxes of less than 2%. Pretty good job if you can get it eh?

Further, Paul Martin also owned Voyageur bus lines in Canada. When this bus line became financially bankrupt Martin decided he had better sell it. Here's the sweet part. Instead of using some of his other billions to pay back the creditors of Voyageur....Mr. Martin simply took the workers Pension funds from the bus line to pay back the creditors. Now, the employees of Voyageur who have been paying into this fund for their entire working lives...having absolutely NOTHING to show for it. That's right...since creditors have priority over the workers, and since Martin maintained control of the pension fund........he simply used THEIR money to pay his debts. All nice and legal like.....Canada style. Gotta love a man with integrity right?

In fact, we love Liberals so much.......the bigger thieves they turn out to be...the more popular they are.

As you know...the Gomery Inquiry here in Canada is looking into ONE PROGRAM run by the Liberal Party of Canada.....but their are dozens more that are beyond our sight. I'm sure that each and every one of these programs are exactly like the sponsorship program, and that the rot extends far beyond the borders of Quebec. For example, our Auditor General is not allowed to see the books of some Canadian "Foundations" created by Paul Martin. These foundations have become the repository for about 9 BILLION dollars of tax money....and no one can see what is being done with it. Yes my American friends....if you want to see how a banana republic functions, one need only look North. We have our tribal troubles......but instead of attacking each other with machetes and AK-47's.....Canadians lob labels. Anyone who is offended by Liberal Corruption is called a right-wing extremist, a racist, a bigot....etc..etc....I''m sure you get the idea.

Anyway...it looks like another Federal Election is on the way soon, and there is still no guarantee we can rid ourselves of this Liberal filth. If, after the election ends and we are still stuck with a mob-connected (seriously....the Liberals have been said to have ties to the mafia and the drug trade)Liberal Party, I want someone in the USA to do me a favour. Find me some land in Arizona.

PS. Last year during one witnesses testimony (Miram Bedard) she stated that she was warned not to ask questions about the Liberals' corruption. She was told she "would be in danger" if she rocked the boat. Well, she ignored that advice. She testified that she had heard about connections to organzied crime. She said the Liberal Party was somehow involved in the illegal drug trade. Well, the Quebec media painted her as some sort of nut-case looking for attention. The media in Quebec made her look like a complete moron, forcing her into seclusion and shame.

Here's the rub:

Three weeks after her testimony, the RCMP discovered 67 kgs. (about 130 pounds) of cocaine aboard a container ship in Halifax harbour. The ship was called "Sheila." Sheila is the name of Paul Martin's wife, and this isn't a coincidence, since the ship was registered to Canada Steamship Lines.

Also, in British Columbia, a couple of fellows were arrested for operating an extensive network of marijuana grow-ops. One guy was named Virk, and one of his houses was found to be filled with pot plants almost ready for harvest, and the other fellow (sorry...can't recall his name) was in charge of the smuggling and financing I believe. ANyway...what does this have to do with the Liberal Party? Well...just this. Both of these guys arrested for illegal drug activity....worked on Paul Martin's Leadership campaign. Must be a coincidence eh? Who knows...maybe the pot you're smoking down in the USA...was grown by the Canadian Prime Minister's buddies. Funny how things work out eh?

Final note: Remember earlier when I talked about Miriam Bedard being attacked in the media of Quebec? Here's the fun part. The newspapers and media that spent the most time discrediting her....are owned by Paul Martin's former employer...Paul Desmarais, and Power Corp.

So...the next time you folks down south worry about cheney and his ties to Haliburton, take my word for it....when it comes to corruption, theft, and personal enrichment at tax-payer expense.....you are all amateurs when it comes to Canada and the LIberal Party.

Ok...signing off now. I have to wait for the legal papers to arrive in my mailbox after some Liberal flack reads this. Of course.....in Canada, the Liberal government doesn't worry about niceties such as subpoena's. In Canada, the RCMP commissioner (the big boss) is also a Liberal flacky.....so Canadians who raise a stink, have their homes invaded. It's happened a few times already to reporters.....whistleblowers, etc.

Wish me luck.

Maurice Strong is currently a special advisor to Paul Martin Canadian PM.

Martin's governing Liberal Party is under investigation by a judicial commission for possible fraud and money laundering.

There are many dots to connect apparently to Cordex Petroleum, Saddam Hussein, Maurice Strong, Paul Desmarais , Paul Martin and even Kofi Annan but it must be done by bloggers because mainstream Canadian media will not.

Perhaps some US bloggers can!

Auuugggghhh. No wonder those investigators resigned. I wish the congressman wishing to subpoena them lots of luck and it should be interesting to see what comes out from the congressional investigation. I have a feeling that there's a lot of juicy stuff yet to be revealed. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the trails ends in a kinky club somewhere . . .

Of Couric. Haven't seen her myself in well over a year, but ten years?

Of Kofi as a latter-day Quixote. The thought, if inadequately limned, was that the redoubtable Quixote was a parody of the once chilvarous knight errant. Kofi Annan, equally errant, and more equally erring, similarly provides a parody - in his case something of a self-parody - proffering his own airy air of transnationalist chilvalry all the while erring considerably.

Katie Couric....The last time I saw her on t.v. was a decade ago? Maybe more. Definitely poster child material. I'll take your word, Michael B, that she has achieved the infamy that was then in her reach. Does she still work mornings? If so her afternoons are free and she can join our little production.

I don't know Don Quixote well enough to debate you on the points, or the sensibility of using that work and the UN in the same thought, and thus though I'd like to I can't yell bravo!, or something else, but I'm sure someone does and will.
