Patrick Ruffini has opened the 2008 Presidential Wire. [C'mon, you know you're a political junkie and will be over there all the time.-ed.]

None to soon to be talking about politics in 2008, after-all its one of the few things that if you don’t take it serious it can take your life.

Amnesty International has mouthed a few things that I would like to see both parties take up. The secretary general, Irene Khan has equated the United States with two regimes of onerous history, Iraq and the USSR, it would be interesting indeed to see what the leaders of both parties think about such a statement.

Personally I think that Amnesty International has made themselves irrelevant, they have become another organization that doesn’t know right from wrong. 20 million deaths under Stalin, people being dropped into paper shredders, rapes rooms, what can this organization be thinking of, they have lost their way and become enemies of freedom. The US brought freedom to 50 million people within the last 5 years and this organization defames us. Ms. Khan is a fool and the organization is stupid and foolish.

The MSM began its 2008 drumbeat long ago: Hillary, Hillary, Hillary. It will be fun to see how many Hillary “profiles” the next 3.5 years bring us. And from the way Bill’s been looking lately, I wonder if Miz Hillary might not be campaigning as the Widow Clinton. Can the sympathy vote sweep her into office a second time?
