Some people are upset that Pajamas Media will be changing its name in time for our November 16 launch. I can understand that. I feel the same way to some extent. But I must remind myself that all things change. It’s the way of our existence. And in the end, the market prevails.

Sep 21, 2005 - 9:33 am 2. Knucklehead:Those darned conservatives and their incessant resistance to change! If y’all wanna call yourselves the Nightshirt Natterers that’s your business.
What was wrong with Pajamas Media? Why’d you change?
Sep 21, 2005 - 10:00 am 3. PC14:How’s that for a weasel last paragraph by The AP piece on Clinton and Lewinsky condoms? Clinton couldn’t have done a better job if he wrote that himself.
Sep 21, 2005 - 10:03 am 4. erp:The bad news is that Clinton will want a cut of the profits; the good news is he’ll take it out in trade.
Sep 21, 2005 - 10:11 am 5. neo-neocon:To those in Chicago lamenting the death of Marshall Field’s: we in New England feel your pain. Or, that is, we have felt your pain. Exactly. A while back, the New England institution Jordan Marsh was swallowed up by the rapacious Macy’s, just as is now happening to your beloved Field’s. We adjusted, but we were never the same.
This might be as good a time as any to plug my ode to another disappearing institution, Howard Johnson’s.
And, by the way, I liked the name Pajamas Media. But I’ll adjust; I’m strong.
Sep 21, 2005 - 10:16 am 6. Skookumchuk:Sorry, but I still have some catching up to do. What are we changing the name to?
Sep 21, 2005 - 10:33 am 7. Rick Ballard:“What are we changing the name to?”
That won’t be revealed until we meet in the library in the third act.
Sep 21, 2005 - 10:46 am 8. Skookumchuk:Hmm. That may be some time. What with current events and all. When does the curtain rise?
Sep 21, 2005 - 11:28 am 9. Knucklehead:Rick,
While you’re in the library do me a favor and drift away from the crowd and peek into any back rooms or closets. Pay particular attention to clusters of people wearing tie-dye and whispering. The moonbats are up to something in the libraries and I’m itching to catch them at it.
Sep 21, 2005 - 11:30 am 10. Skookumchuk:OT: Protein Wisdom is on the case. Lets see what happens.
Sep 21, 2005 - 11:47 am 11. Rick Ballard:“When does the curtain rise?”
Well, the celebration of the launch of New Media Enterprise – The Next Generation is scheduled for Nov. 16.
Perhaps the meeting in the library will occur prior to that – it’s a mystery!
Sep 21, 2005 - 12:26 pm 12. Barbara Skolaut:You’re changing the name?
Hoo, boy – am I out of the loop.
Sep 21, 2005 - 1:08 pm 13. Ed Poinsett:You’ll always be Pajama’s Media. No amount of button polishing will ever change that. It’s sad to think that you’ll call yourselves something like New Media Enterprise. Sounds like something from John Kerry’s campaign, or a division of the NYT. As Gunga Dan might say “Fake but Accurate”.
Fun and spontaniety give way to Pravda and Tass. Phooey.
Sep 21, 2005 - 1:41 pm 14. Skookumchuk:Bravo, Ed Poinsett. “New Media Enterprise”?
You guys can always change your minds, you know.
Sep 21, 2005 - 1:50 pm 15. Stacy's Mom:New Media Enterprise…NME…Enemy…I like it already.
