From the “Lebanese Political Journal”

This one is worth reading. (Cross-posted as a PJMedia Best of the Blogs).

MEANWHILE: Dept. of I’ll-believe-it-when-I-see-it… The EU says it may cut aid to the PA if Hamas wins their election.

AND: In case you missed this while you were sleeping – the Mullahs think genocide should be up for discussion: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust is a matter for academic discussion and the West should be more tolerant of his views, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said on Sunday.

UPDATE: Dartblog discusses the EU and Hamas.

The reason why the EU may cut back funding is that its members are less wealthy. Its more difficult to throw your money around like a drunken sailor when you have an unemployment rate over ten percent.

ìIranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s denial of the Holocaust is a matter for academic discussionî

Holocaust denier David Irving and his buddies should not spend even one second in jail for their beliefs. Nonetheless, they are not deserving of a serious hearing due to their intellectual incompetence. All views are not equal. One does need to know what they are talking about. The evidence of Nazi atrocities is abundantly clear. To deny the holocaust is intellectually comparable to declaring 2+1=4. Such a person does not deserve to be treated with respect. Our First Amendment allows anyone to make a fool of themselves—but we are not obligated to listen to their idiocy.
