Pajamas Media with reports of some early New Years “celebrating” on Indonesia

… doesn’t sound like “fireworks,” unfortunately. Also continued post-election updates from Iraq from ITM. Omar and Mohammed have been covering the story at least as well as anyone I have seen, in or out of the MSM.

This Pajamas Media thing is coming to be an interesting and informative tool… the overview is selective and useful… eg, the one on Honor Killings, and now on Indonesia. Congratulations, Roger, I think this project is going to be successful.

You’re right. Omar and Mohammed at IraqTheModel.blogspot.com are invaluable. I wish everyone in America was reading them every day.

Mickey Kaus recently remarked that “Iraq the Model is telling me at least as much about what’s going on in Iraq as the New York Times these days.” Pajamas Media is essentially a low cost operation, but it still competes well with the much larger media entity. The New York Times seems institutionally stuck on stupid and incapable of turning things around. This could be the year where the new kid on the block reigns supreme.
