I will be flying to NY tomorrow to attend the Personal Democracy Forum 2006 conference where I am on a panel Monday. The program for this conference seems more interesting than most. My panel is called “How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Blogosphere”. [I think they have the wrong guy for that.-ed. I think so too.] While my panel is going on, I noticed there is one on “Why Your Website Is Probably Obsolete (and How to Fix It)”. I hope someone’s taking notes for me.
I will blog a bit from the conference and maybe taking a few snaps as well, posting here and at Pajamas.

I know the timing of the NSA rehash story has been linked to General Hayden becoming the CIA director, but that could just be icing on a cake.
Leslie Cauley, the USA Today writer of NSA intrigue, is also closely affiliated to Global Crossing. Now it just so happens that there is a Telecommunications bill stalled in the senate from witch a guarantee of Network neutrality (a theonet’s holy grail) is missing. It doesn’t take a hacker to figure out on what side of the fence Global Crossing stands there.
Crossing wants to be able to charge more for the faster lanes you and I take for granted. It’s recent investments in Voice over IP in Europe don’t seem to be in the cards for the US market. And on top of that they are hurting for cash.
Could Leslie be trying to put the cabash on Senate action hoping the Dems will come to power and change the path of Telecom legislation?
She would not be the first.
