… because, while our nation stands transfixed by (pretty minor league) scandal, matters of tremendous importance are transpiring. For the moment, this blog seems to have the most appropriate title.

1. ic:“matters of tremendous importance”? Not quite. The White House has decided that it is the Dear Leader’s newest ploy to draw attention, so we will ignore him. And, when we don’t shuttle our minor diplomats back and forth to capitals around the world, behaving like headless chickens, then the UN, and other countries, such as China, and South Korea, who have much more to lose, will have to pay attention. Otherwise, they will just make us the bad guy and force us to make concessions. Just like Iran, there is not much we can do to stop the mad man. The poker player in the White House knows that without the threat of force the rogue regimes will not budge. Since the Euro weenies insist on the superiority of their soft power, we may as well let them make a fool of themselves.
Could we have deterred Hitler? The answer is no. We don’t even have the will to stop the jihadists when they are killing us. Can we stop Iran? No. Can we stop North Korea? We don’t want to, because the Dear Leader is bluffing.
