Sen. Joseph Lieberman’s oped in the WaPo ^[1] today is worth reading as an exercise in statesmanship. Interesting too are the words he uses to describe himself at the bottom of the piece:

The writer is an Independent Democratic senator from Connecticut.

Bravo.
