1. Lem:The new Iranian hostages and Blair’s desire for UN action, our new UN ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad will get a chance to show if he is really as good as all the accolades showered on him during his confirmation hearings said he is.
In the puzzle that is the Middle East these pieces look promising.
Mar 30, 2007 - 7:24 am 2. David Thomson:Zalmay Khalilzad will probably prove to be a disappointment. I don’t have much faith in anyone who is approved in our current Washington political environment.
The bigger question is whether Joe Lieberman will soon join the Republicans. The American public has to realize that the Democratic Party is now one of the foremost enemies of Western Civilization. Lieberman’s abandonment of his former allies would be a loud wake up call.
Mar 30, 2007 - 12:27 pm 3. Barrett:Why we support the UN anymore is unknown to me. Let the UN go to Paris’ Let’s sell the land and develop it. New York City could use the tax revenues.
The UN is worse than Congress. You can send a good person, but they are chewed up by the system.
