In my town resides a very conservative zillionaire who has devoted much of his fortune both to donating to private voucher programs and trying to get a state voucher program going.

He does this because he&#039;s been involved with voucher programs for years and he&#039;s seen first hand the results they get, especially with minority kids. When people whine about how this may hurt the public schools, he says so what? He cares about the STUDENTS, not the institutions that are failing them..

I&#039;m afraid it does come down to the NEA owning the Dem Party. However, I&#039;ll never understand what&#039;s &quot;progressive&quot; about maintaining status quo.
