I wonder if the fresh-faced Hillary Rodham, Wellesley student, the NYT has been hyping of late had any idea of the ugly muck she would have to wade through for the rest of her life in pursuit of the power and the glory. Money, as the cliche goes, is the mother’s milk of politics. That’s been true all our lives. McCain -Feingold solved nothing. One of things about the Thompson campaign is that he has been doing well without a lot of money (ahead in today’s Rasmussen). If that keeps up, maybe he will prove that you can run without such a ton of cash…. of course, he’s an actor and all but… with the current insatiable media, almost anyone credible gets a huge amount of attention. Maybe the ability to buy endless ads doesn’t amount to so much anymore. People tune them out. I know I dod.

1. jedrury:The signal event of this month for the Clinton loving media, i.e., Bubba’s release of his new best seller “Giving,” no, you cynics out there, not “give it up Paula, give it up Monica, give it up Kathleen,” is blurred with Hillary’s greed. I grieve.

The Clinton money is something else, though. There have been connections with a number of East Asian types, and one wonders who is paying and for what?? The Little Hsu is obviously a conduit from someone with a LOT of $$ and interest in having Hillary in the White House. Why?
I wonder if it is China?

Barry Dauphin:And now we have learned (h/t to Volokh Conspiracy) that one of Hill’s foreign policy gurus is none other than Sandy “those aren’t classified documents in my pants, I’m just glad to see you” Berger. The race has hardly heated up, and the Clintons are pulling this kind of crap. Not promising, but not surprising.
