1. dclydew:After all the posts about complicated political issues and complex questions of moral quagmirish proportions…
I had no idea what the hell this post was about. So I read the article and I still don’t know much
Feb 1, 2008 - 2:00 pm 2. Doug S.:Holy cats! Given how such trades generally work out (one good player for a bunch of lesser players/spare parts), I think the Lakers scored a deal worthy of Jerry West himself.
After this season, a lot of folks are going to owe Kupchak a reappraisal, if not an apology.
Feb 1, 2008 - 2:08 pm 3. David Thomson:Oh no, my Houston Rockets have something more to worry about. They will have to struggle harder for a playoff spot. This must be some sort of a Communist plot. I’m immediately calling the FBI.
Feb 1, 2008 - 3:29 pm 4. Lem:Once genetical manipulation becomes commonplace the silly game of basketball will become a thing of the past :0
Baseball is a real sport, football is a real sport.
scoring in basketball is irrelevant.
i could think of many other things to trash it.. but i dont want to get banned
Feb 1, 2008 - 3:55 pm 5. Captain Hate:Kupchak is still the same mutt who traded Caron Butler for Krummy Brown, the Larue Martin of the 21st century. Brown was originally drafted by MJ; what is it about Tarholes and talent evaluation.
But it looks like the Lakers may finally get out of the first round of the playoffs post-Shaq.
Feb 1, 2008 - 3:59 pm 6. GringoTex:In my opinion, it has been a pretty good season if the LA Lakers, the NY Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys all lose. This looks like one of those trades that the NY Yankees used to pull off with the KC Athletics, their former major league farm team. While I regret the trade, it looks like the Lakers did well on this trade.
