Daniel Ortega also believes in ìhopeî and ìchangeî—but is it the kind that most American voters will feel comfortable with? I donít think so. ìBarryî Obama will ultimately receive only the votes of those left of center. I am also noticing a number of Obama supporters beginning to comment on Pajama Media. They sound almost identical to those who previously supported Ron Paul.

Daniel Ortega welcomes the second coming of Jimmy Carter.

Slightly off-topic but related to the campaign: methinks that Clinton should fire the person who recommened that Patty Solis Doyle be replaced by Maggie Williams. In retrospect it looks like it was a naked attempt to get back the black vote, but it backfired because the move could also be seen (and probably has been) as a dump on latinos. That might be why Texas is leaning toward Obama now. She’s starting to look like toast, and the animosity she will draw when trying to count the Michigan and Florida delegates is going to be something to behold.

Meanwhile, McCain had a pretty decent interview on Larry King last night (I figured if I’m going to listen to McCain bashing I might as well hear it from Democrats…actually I was just tired from seeing Hannity’s mealy-mouthed face pouting out of the screen…that show is always on when I go into the kitchen…anyway, needless to say how surprised I was to see how differently McCain is perceived on the other networks.) Folks like Hannity and Limbaugh are starting to look real small to me, and Coulter has descended to the level of a DailyKos-like nitwit.

Wow — that didn’t take long.

I wonder how long before B.O. picks up endorsements from Ortega’s buddies, e.g., Chavez and Castro. They, of course, also promised “change”, even a “fresh start” — and, boy did they deliver.

When B.O. gets the nomination the curious part of the international endorsement game will be Europe. Swooning over “Jean Kerri” is one thing, but how many leaders there will back a black candidate?

How long can it before the mad mullahs get Obamania too?

Terrye, I was thinking the same thing. Didn’t Osama endorse Kerry?

I wonder if BO (boy, those are bad initials to have!) even knows who Ortega is.

Speaking of Barry O, am I the only one, when watching his weeper kumurshul about his mother having been worried about her health care costs, thinking “Where was your POS deadbeat ‘father’ to help out with somebody he purportedly once cared about?”

Feb 16, 2008 - 8:45 am 9. ElMondo:

This is where Obama can either gain a modicum of respect from me by saying “Ortega is not the kind of supporter I want”, or have be completely consign him to oblivion by either implicityly or openly accepting Ortega’s backing.

It’s up to you, Mr. Obama, whether I vote against you out of principle or disgust. I’d prefer to support my candidate but admit the opposition is honorable than vote against you because you lend tacit approval to antidemocratic ideals in the person of Ortega or because of any failure on your part to repudiate him. It’s your call, sir.
