Over on PJ, I have an interview with Chris Peden, the fellow who is running against Ron Paul for the Republican nomination in Paul’s Texas Congressional District. Peden is evidently ahead of Paul in polls. I know we were engaging in a bit of gloating, having this interview. But Paul never ceases to amaze with his views. The one I hadn’t known – probably some of you do – is that he is anti-NASA, says it’s unconstitutional. And now his district has been reconfigured into the Houston suburbs. As we used to say in junior high, tough gazook!

They would love to take out our eyes and ears.

Paul’s most recent run for the presidency has changed everything—and I strongly suspect that many of his constituents are disturbed by the weird people attracted to his campaign. Also, people like myself are now aware of his previously ignored quotes.

Feb 19, 2008 - 4:19 pm 6. Henry Bowman:Well, Roj, of course NASA is unconstitutional. Are you a bit dimwitted or do you simply choose not to think? Being unconstitutional does not mean it is a bad idea, just that is it illegal. If it is deemed a good idea, then change the Constitution to permit such: it’s not nearly as difficult as some make out. The notion that we cannot change the Constitution is a notion that is primarily invented to justify ignoring the Constitution, as has been very clearly done by any number of Congressional sessions and Presidents.
