The notion that we cannot change the Constitution is a notion that is primarily invented to justify ignoring the Constitution, as has been very clearly done by any number of Congressional sessions and Presidents. He essentially operated under the radar. Paul's most recent run for the presidency has changed everything---and I strongly suspect that many of his constituents are disturbed by the weird people attracted to his campaign.
