MVP! MVP!

52-points…. 30 in the fourth quarter and overtime.

“We gave him a single look, then we double-teamed him, then we gave him a triple-team and he split the triple-team and scored,” Johnson said. “We tried to zone him, we tried to funnel him in the trap for a zone and he went the other way. He didn’t cooperate on any of our defenses.

“Obviously he milked the free throw line on us and he just had it all going. He’s a great player. He has these (games). Lots of these.”

The Houston Rockets won their fifteenth consecutive game. Who is this Kobe Bryant guy? The Los Angeles Lakers reside in a blue state and the Rockets play in a red state. God loves red staters. The Lakers will have to be content with second place.

I’ve given up on the NBA until it stops being a thug league.

Roger, I always check in because I enjoy your comments on all things political. The one sticking point with you is your love affair with the insufferable, pompous ass Kobe Bryant. From his days as a pampered little upper class brat in the toney suburbs of Philly, people in his home town have been hating on him for good reason – he is a miserable human being. Yeah good on him, he can play a game. But in the realm of what matters, character, Bryant is a pathetic failure. He is complete jackass, a spoiled, loathsome miscreant. There is nothing to like about this smirking fool. Wonder why we booed him in Philly at the all-star game? We know the “man” well.

Well, maybe we’ll see you in the Finals again (Go Pistons ;>).

Roger, it’s apparent I may one of your only readers who fully agrees with your assessment of Kobe and who shares your enthusiasm for all-things Purple and Gold.

I repeat my offer to take in a game with you in my pretty decent seats (Section 102, Row 14) if you’re ever so-inclined. I once saw you at a game in seats right behind the Lakers bench, so perhaps you’re spoiled, but I have a spare seat for the game on the 26th of this month with the Charlotte Bobcats (I know, not quite the Dallas Mavericks, but my wife has a say in this), so drop me a line if you’re interested.

Richard
