How unsophisticated can you get? It was this woman who recommended we talk with Ahmadinejad if only to register our “displeasure.” If this is what we want in the White House, I’m baffled.
UPDATE: If I were Obama, I’d fire Ms. Power today. Let’s see what he does. In a sense, it’s a defining moment.

1. Lightnin' Hopkins:Strategically, she should have been gone the moment the quote hit the air and internets. That is a phenomenal blunder – especially in today’s 24-hour news cycle. For all the talk of the supposed speed and efficiency of the Obama campaign, they are taking sweet time they cannot afford responding and it may hurt them severely.
Another issue is Samantha Power’s shall we say, less than lucid “advice” on Iraq and Israel, etc., the jaw-dropping details of which have been written about at length over at Power Line and elsewhere recently. Radical is as radical does, and Ms. Power could represent a larger problem for the campaign than even Rezko in the long run. Not to mention the rest of us if he were elected and she had his ear.

Reminds me of that debate moment when Obama “denounced” Farrakhan was somewhat reluctant to outright “reject” his support until goaded by Clinton’s more lucid ethical position. She was criticized by all and sundry for being petty and pedantic. I thought it was quite commendable that she insisted on moral clarity. To Obama’s credit, he realized himself that hhis position was somewhat precarious.

Obama’s campaign finances are involved in the prosecution (by Patrick Fitzgerald) and trial of his friend of 20 years Antoin Rezko. Some of the funds… allegedly…extorted by Rezko went into Obama’s campaign coffers.
Curiously, Iraqi Power Plants and fraud are also involved in Rezko’s trial. (Google: Obama -Rezko- Alsammarae-Auichi- IRAQ POWER PLANTS). With the Rezko trial looming over his head Obama, in all good conscience, should not have run for the Presidency – given all the unanswered questions about his involvement with Rezko; including Obama’s meeting with Rezko and Rezko’s friend Iraqi Billionaire Auichi. Obama’s LACK of good conscience in running for President – given the very high risk that the Rezko trial will result in the election of a Republican – reveals Obama’s lack of good conscience and his lack of any regard for his party, his country, or its people. Obama should withdraw from the race.
At the beginning of this campaign season a large majority of voters were looking forward to electing Clinton. Then Obama stepped in and started the dirty campaigning that has created the DIVISION he so hypocritically decries. Obama played “the race card” so he could win in South Carolina. He was caught red-handed playing that race card-but the media blamed it on Clinton -even though they all knew they were pushing THE BIG LIE..
