Kat Fight on Kos

As a onetime lefty, I’m fairly familiar with political schisms – you know, Trotsky, Lenin, the Third International… that kind of thing. But I was not prepared for the storm on the Daily Kos today. The Hillarians apparently are crying foul about their treatment by the Obamamanians on the popular site and are now striking… in other words not writing for the Daily Kos anymore. The well-known etymologist and and literatur, Markos ‘Kos’ Moulitsas , demurs before wishing them well: “First, these people should read up on the definition of ’strike.’ What they’re doing is a ‘boycott.’ But whatever they call it, I think it’s great. It’s a big Internet, so I hope they find what they’re looking for.”

Well, I do too, Markos. Any suggestions?

Nothing I need worry about, I like my eggs scrambled.

John McCain might have to punch out a nun to lose in November. I expect the frustration and rage only to increase among the Democratic Party’s hardcore activists. They have been engaging in identity politics for the last four decades. The price tag finally has to be paid.

Only a far left of center “man of color” can capture the Democratic Party nomination. Middle of the road voters, however, are simply not going to vote for a political radical. Ironically, Obama would easily win if he were a Republican conservative.

Especially if that color is pink (as in “pinko”–you might have to be over 40 to get that).

Besides, I’m not sure that being all the rage on the internet is a particularly good omen. Remember “Snakes on a Plane”?

I head over to Democratic Underground once and a while to get my laughs and although I don’t read the Daily Kossack, it seems like the same thing going on over there. Hillbots are having hell to pay.

“John McCain might have to punch out a nun to lose in November.”

That’s a great line – I love it!

Wonder what Soros’ next political investment will be, now that the Dems are all akimbo?

Yeah well they can dish it out but they can not take it.

Luckily for them most Americans do not read Daily Kos so they don’t know how truly strange some of these people are.

The internet is a big place and most people who are on it are not reading political blogs at all.

I think this is a mistake poltical activists from both parties make, they think everyone else is like them…and they are not. Most people don’t even like to think about politics.

Terryel is right about the general dislike of politics, but people do understand a raving madman saying, “God damn America.” If they don’t know about it now, they will as the campaign unfolds. And just maybe there are other aspects of Barrack’s background yet to emerge that will further dim the halo the MSM has fixed on his noble brow.

Hey, Markos, tell em to vote for Nader in the general. That’s a sure-fire way to piss you off!

The longer the internal fighting goes on amoung democrats the shorter the time their candidate will have to move to the center where McCain is waiting. For them to go thru Mc they will have to out-moderate THE moderate. How do you do that?
Do you become a conservative in two months?

Notice that the argument at Koos is not who is more liberal. So it appears that their candidates are well defined at least in their own ultra left minds. All mac has to do is get the word out as to who Obama and/or Hillary are.

McCain could corrall it in a coma.
