McCain’s first general election ad…

… is up on YouTube (with the usual comment zoo). I think it’s quite well done, though of course I am not the audience. The voice over sounds like Kelsey Grammer to me, who has been one of the major Hollywood figures on the right for some time. (Amusing that he made his rather large mark playing a shrink.)

According to Politico (via ABC), the narrator is Powers Boothe.

Ooops! Make that “via MSNBC.”

Powers Boothe? Who once played Rev. Jim Jones in a TV miniseries? Interesting.

I’m sure someone will dig beneath the surface between now and November and churn up how many supporters McCain actually has in the entertainment industry (besides the already well-known Repubs, like Bruce Willis, Clint and Arnold). It will be interesting to see who will cop to voting Republican in this election.
