OJ and Murtha – two creeps may get their comeuppance

Is it entirely coincidence that two of the creepiest Americans – OJ Simpson and Cong. John Murtha – both have their legal problems headlined on Drudge today?  Or is it, as Michael Moore would say, proof of the existence of God? It’s worth noting that both have had their brushes with the law before, OJ’s perhaps a bit better known than Murtha’s.  But OJ, despicable a murderer as he is, could arguably be said to have suffered more than Murtha who has remained a member of Congress since his obvious culpability in the Abscam Scandal. It’s hard to imagine what’s going on in his Pennsylvania district that the citizenry continues to elect this criminal [Mass mental illness?  Something in the water?-ed.] but with the advent of the Marine’s lawsuit, not to mention our current financial crisis, they may finally wake up. [Will the citizens of Connecticut wake up about Chris Dodd?-ed. We shall see.]

Now regarding the Marine’s lawsuit:  The following exchange between Murtha and Wolf Blitzer has been cited as an example of the congressman’s violation of due process.

“There was an (improvised explosive device) attack, it killed one Marine, and then they overreacted and killed a number of civilians without anybody firing at them,” Murtha told Blitzer.

“That’s what you’re going to find out.”

As the story continues: At this point, though, seven of the eight servicemen charged in the incident have been cleared.  They have been given honorable discharges, etc.  It’s not amazing that a moral reprobate like Murtha would make accusations like this bassed entirely on hearsay and without an iota of proof.  But what about the supposedly neutral Blitzer?  Did he have anything to say in rejoinder?  Will he now cover the lawsuit that, in essence, began on his own show?  Want to take a bet?

NO bets on Blitzer.

I am absolutely disgusted that a retired USMC officer would have so violated not just due process, but ALSO the regard he should have held for his fellow Marines.

I don’t know whether or not one can still be drummed “out of the Corps”, but F***head Murtha would be a primary candidate for such treatment.

I live within spitting distance of Dodd down here in East Haddam. It’s impossible to describe the blinkered admiration my neighbors have for this mendacious scoundrel.

Seeing it explains a lot about the enormities of the twentieth century. Normally upright citizens grovelling at the feet of a lying, power-hungry, posturing punk. Disgusting.

…and as for Murtha, something tiny and significant exploded in his skull a long time ago. The damage is extensive.

Murtha has almost single-handedly kept Johnstown, PA’s economy afloat (though barely) through the earmarks and bogus military work he’s brought to town. It’s why he keeps getting re-elected.

People are to fearful for their jobs to let him go — his despicableness notwithstanding.

His luck has to run out. Even people who are getting earmarks have pride.

Justice, in Murtha’s case, would be ending up in the courtroom of a judge who is a former Marine and, having a jury made of the same. I wonder if Murtha could get any Marines to speak on his behalf?

“You say somebody’s guilty, everybody believes you. You say he’s innocent, nobody cares.”
A line from Paul Newman’s great flick, Absence of Malice. Blitzer won’t care. Maybe somebody can make these bloated twits care.

Sep 27, 2008 - 10:45 pm 8. Steve:

If McCain is elected and ends earmarks, Murtha’s constituents will have less reason to vote for him.

Roger,

Do you seriously expect a self-loathing leftist Jew like Blitzer to stand up for America or Israel?

If he did, do you think he would be the face of Communist News Network?

Puhleease!

I’ve been contributing to Murtha’s opponent (LT Col -ret- William Russell) in hopes of seeing Murtha defeated. He is a disgrace to the Corp as well as the US Congress. Wait, Congress is full of disgracefull folks, starting with Madame Pelosi.

Murtha will emerge from this business without a scratch. Old rats like him are hard to kill. Twenty years from now somebody might piss on his grave. That’s the closest thing to payback those Marines are ever going to get.

Such is my faith in American justice…at least when it applies to members of Congress.

In the name of accuracy, the sentence should read: “But OJ, despicable nonconvicted murderer as he is, could arguably be said to have suffered more than Murtha who has remained a member of Congress since his obvious culpability in the Abscam Scandal.

I’m not saying OJ is innocent. He just got away with it.

Shows you what a senile old moron Murtha is….if he had spouted off about these brave young men on the House floor he would have been safe…but he went on the airwaves, and now he will hopefully be in court(ain’t life grand!)
