Amazing (dis)Grace: Obama children video

Watching this video has disturbed me more than almost anything I have seen in recent years.  It is the kind of exploitation of children that reminds me of Young Pioneer Camps I saw when visiting the Soviet Union in the Eighties.  You could say, as some have, that this is much like what happens with children in churches and synagogues across America, but this is about a political figure – one of two current presidential candidates and the one leading in the polls.  The Drudge headline references the “Dear Leader.”  Quite apt.  Here for you edification are the words of the people who saw fit to put this together (there’s more at the link):

Sing for Change chronicles a recent Sunday afternoon, when 22 children, ages 5-12, gathered to sing original songs in the belief that their singing would lift up our communities for the coming election. Light, hope, courage and love shine through these nonvoting children who believe that their very best contribution to the Obama campaign is to sing.

And they complain about the religious right – can you imagine the reaction to a similar group of kids singing about McCain under the tutelage of an evangelical minister?

Promo, actually I was making a general comment. I’ve expressed my severe disapproval to “parents” (for lack of a better term) who obviously inculcate their children with political propaganda well before they’re able to arrive at an independently informed viewpoint. Strangely enough, they’ve all been libs who can’t seem to let children be children.

Sep 30, 2008 - 10:58 am 11. NJclosetconservative:

Last Sunday I attended a community picnic for “Obama families.”

When we walked into the community center, they tried to shuffle the kids off to one side to “learn about voting” while an aggressive campaign worker told us to sign-in on a clipboard. When I asked why she needed our phone number, address, and email, she said, “we just want to know how many people attended.” Classic Alinsky organizing. My wife spoke Democrat to them and my kids and I were able to enter without further indoctrination.

Inside, a popular children’s entertainer, Rebecca Frezza, was performing but she had changed all of the lyrics of her songs to, I kid you not, “I Love. Bar-ack Oh-Baaaa-mah.” Most disappointing because my daughters are fans and couldn’t hear the songs the way they knew them.

After that were two speeches by our local NJ assemblywoman and an adviser to Obama’s campaign. Both speeches were about how “amazing” Obama’s convention speech was, how the stadium spectacle brought them to tears, and how they were initially inspired to support Obama by Will-I-Am’s youtube video. I couldn’t make this stuff up. Both speeches ended with some hope-and-change chanting. I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a room with 200 sweaty Democrats (adults and kids) chanting “yes we can” but I’d rather reenact the torture scene from Syriana than do that again.

I’m happy to report that my daughters, ages eight and five, caught the creepy stench of group-think in the air and were extremely uncomfortable. My Democrat wife too had to admit that it was a little scary. After we left I bought my kids an ice cream cone to sooth the pain.

Strange times.

Sing for Change chronicles a recent Sunday afternoon,

Oh yes just an innocent Sunday afternoon:

Via: http://confederateyankee.mu.nu/:

Here’s a partial list of those who helped produce this “grassroots” effort:

* Jeff Zucker — American television executive, and President & CEO of NBC Universal.
* Post-producer (former choreographer?) Holly Shiffer.
* Motion picture camera operator/steadicam specialist Peter Rosenfeld (appropriately enough, worked in “Yes Man,” a movie about ” a guy challenges himself to say ‘yes’ to everything for an entire year.”
* Darin Moran, another motion picture industry professional, who just finished filming — how appropriate — Land of the Lost.
* Andy Blumenthal, Hollywood film editor.

Creepy, very creepy.

I just watched the free DVD of “Obsession” that came with my latest N-R (dead tree edition). Little Palestinian kids singing about martyrdom is creepy. Little liberal kids singing about Obama is annoying. Think of it this way. The little kid singing about Obama today is the Bobby Jindal Presidential campaign volunteer of tomorrow !

To me the creepiest part is that the organizers – the frigging adults – thought that this was wonderful! Glorious! Spread the word about Obama! They’re so warped that they believe that the unconverted would actually be swayed by this.

I’d be much more sanguine if there was a whiff of cynicism about it, like this was a clandestine video created on someone’s cell phone. The pure, sanctimonious joy that extrudes from the adults – even more than the children – is horrifying. They’re certifiable.

Anyone still doubt that the only thing that is democratic about the Democratic party is the name and that Obama is a totalitarian demagogue?

Unfortunately for all of us we will probably end up with the totalitarians in power because they have a very powerful propaganda machine that worships them and the fact that we have many ignorant people in the electorate that are lapping the swill from the Democratic party up like scum sucking dogs. Blogs, talk radio and certain media outlets are fighting the good fight trying to tell the people who and what the Democrats are but it is not enough.

Take some time out and read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, because by this time in 2012 neither document will be in effect in this country.

I was at a bookstore once and witnessed the following conversation between a Dad and his two daughters (they had to be between 3 and 5 years old). For some reason, although this happened in February, they were talking about what costume they would choose for Halloween:

Daughter: What would George Bush dress up as?

Father: Probably the devil.

Daughter: I’ve seen him play golf a lot. Maybe he would dress up as a golfer. Why does he like golf?

Father: Well, it’s really easy and doesn’t involve any hard work, so of course he’d be drawn to it.

Daughter: Why doesn’t he like hard work?

Father: He had a really rich and powerful father and had things handed to him all his life. He’s gotten used to it and doesn’t like to work hard.

In so many ways, we really are reliving the 1930s. The ‘Obama Youth’ is real, and is eerily reminiscent of the facsists of Marco, Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin.

It wasn’t that long ago that the suggestion of such things was considered rediculous, and the Democrat Party’s biggest strength was FIGHTING against such things. Sad for a conservative to miss Johnson, Kennedy, Truman, and Roosevelt, all great Democratic presidents from before my time.

NJcloset, you have two very intuitive daughters, keep educating them to think & judge for themselves. The
world is in deep trouble and skin color needs to be eradicated as the prime factor. If left to their own the
children around the world would embrace each other and the common denominator would be “music”. Not
political music, but rhythum of cultural discription. Thinking it is cute to use children for political gain continues the ugly climate we are in today. We only need to look at what the youth of Gremany were taught in
the days of Hitler and his regime, they turned in their own parent’s if they disagreed with what they were being taught and we see this again in the middle east. Whatever happens on election day, we all better be prepared to oversee what our children are being taught and not let freedom of thought be denied in our schools and daily life.

It fits with his fascist Truth Squads that are in place in various cities monitoring the landscape and ready to muzzle any soiling of the Obama story by the opposition. They’ve tried to lean on tv stations too.

The really sad thing is that this dangerous little nitwit and his soft gloved brownshirts, well at the beginning until they can unleash the DOJ on any opposition, are probably going to win.

There is something sad and sick about parents that politicize their children. No wonder that critical thinking skills are in decline. Obviously in those homes the free exchange of ideas and debate are missing.

God bless our country. Either we morph into a very different country or there is a huge backlash to this when people get their heads out of the sand at some point in the Obama administration. It’s all so depressing

There’s a scene in the movie Cabaret where Liza Manelli, Michael York and their German friend are eating at a country inn, with a small band playing for the patrons. A young boy starts singing a song about nature and the countryside, that changes into wakeup O Fatherland, as the camera pans back to show him in a Hitler Youth uniform, and the crowd at the inn joins in the chouus “Tommorrow belongs to me”. Maybe that’s why most Obama rallies make me think of Trimuph Of The Will remade in Technicolor, particularly the convention speech.

It’s fascinating to watch this Cult of Obama unfold, and when I say fascinating, I mean creepy beyond belief.

I wrote a blogpost called Obama Y Los Niños, showing various videos showing kids proclaiming fealty to Lenin, Fidel and Kim Jong-Il.

I also wrote elsewhere:

“You know, liberals make a big stink about
“Jesus Camp” type places, which are practically nonexistent, but when they are faced with children who have been encouraged or allowed to sing in chorus for Obama, looking like zoned out kidbots, they think they’re “energised” by the process. Hurrah! A victory for inclusiveness and democracy!

Posit this orchestrated effort to the very spontaneous and cute Kenyan kids singing for Obama, via MP3.

That’s the difference between pride and devotion, which coincidentally, is the difference between freedom and tyranny.”

What will it take for Americans to reject this downward spiral into a very un-American political cult of personality? Even Washington and Lincoln were only revered in death.

Cheers,
Victoria

I think any father who would allow his Democrat wife to take their children to an event like this should have words like “child abuse” and “divorce” floating through his brain … unless he’s a pod person who’s a wannabe Republican, when obviously he’s beyond thinking anything any more.

I would never dream of encouraging my kids to support a candidate, take them to campaign or use them as a prop to protest. They’ve asked me many times about my own political views and I haven’t hesitated to tell them what I believe and why, but I will take them to task if they imply anyone’s stupid or evil for having a different view. I tell them they’ll have to make up their own minds which party to join when the time comes. And whenever they say “We’re Republicans” I correct them: “Daddy and I are Republicans; you are too young to join a political party.”

I think this is horrible, but wasn’t there some book a couple years back about a kid scared of liberals hiding under the bed? I thought that was pretty execrable.

Closetconservative’s Obama meeting story reminds me of a Moonie meeting I attended in Berkeley one time.Everyone was separated for indoctrination purposes.

The parents in Venice have the same vacant eyed idiotic far off gaze as the followers of the late Hindu huckster Bagwhan Ragneesh. Now they’re the blue people not the orange people.

I remember when I was a young dope on dope. Songs like “Imagine” moved me as well as the trite swill lyrics of Crosby, Stills and Nash. Then I came down, became an adult and saw what shallow gibberish it all was. These dopes are still buying that pile of manure.

Beat you too it.

Earlier today, someone who I understand to be an Obamamaniac sent me a tirade from another of his form.

I sent the link to this video to him and the other 73 people on the distribution list of his initial e-mail. That included one state senator, two local state reps, every county commissioner and city council member along with a bunch of other persona.

I mentioned The Young Pioneers in the transmission.

Crap! What’s going to happen when The Chosen One ® is elected, the economy tanks for real (as opposed to this current technical correction), and China and the rest of Asia bail on T-Bills? I don’t expect to survive the re-education camps (be they Barack Obama’s or Hu Jintao’s) … at least I convinced my kids to study Mandarin as a second language. I told them, “That way when China takes over you can be a house slave whilst the rest of us are toiling out in the rice paddies”. They listened too! Pretty good for teenagers, they’ll fit right in with our new totalitarian masters.

I am very worried. I have a degree in American History and there is nothing in our past that even begins to resemble this disturbing phenomenon. I can’t believe Obama isn’t aware of what others are doing in his name. That he hasn’t moved to stop it, or at least to discourage it, is telling.

It was asked above: What’s going to happen? There may be some small victories to keep GOP hope alive. Otherwise, it will be like be like Carter and Clinton’s first few months, starting with the post-election posing and fawning right up to the same sort of Inaugurations, followed then by blunders. Vlad Putin will test him early. McCain will help him, trying to look noble, pleasing no one. Silence is the best opposition, etc. The D.C. Dems, MSM, et al., will all turn on each other. The smug, smarmy likes of Olbermann will pass, as before. Matthews will lose his Senate bid. The rest is up to you…

I posted the singing kids vid link and a brief article on my blog. Had two Obama lemmings suggest there was nothing at all creepy about it and that I was overreacting to think it bears disturbing similarities to the Hitler Youth movement.

And these are allegedly the “non-crazy” democrats…

Should we be concerned that the seemingly normal democrats — the ones who are more middle-of-the-road — will defend the crazies among them, or laugh them off as if they’re nothing to be worried about?

‘Cause I’m not laughing. Maybe I should be…

Early Christians in Rome met death through the hungry lions at the Roman circuses, torches, beheading, the sword, and more because they dared to confront the “elites” by stating that Jesus Christ is Lord, not the emperor.

How many of you are really, really willing to die for Obama? I’m afraid he’s going to give you the chance to prove it.

Puff Daddy said it: “Obama or die.” I’m afraid that’s going to become more true than anyone ever guessed.

Obama’s plans are spelled out. Just Google Obama Youth Brigade. It’s mind boggling that people are so blinded by Obama’s oratory. Wake up Americans who care! Speak out loud and clear!
