NBC reactionaries ban “inconvenient” SNL sketch

We are in the midst of an important, possibly crucial, political campaign and the head honchos at NBC are engaging in thought control.  They are suppressing a Saturday Night Live sketch about the economic crisis that skewers the massive hypocrisy of Democrats like Frank and Pelosi on the issue. [What?  That's impossible!-ed. Stranger than fiction.]  Yes, it’s that NBC that allows Keith Olbermann et al to spill unceasing crazed pseudo-progressive bilge on the public… but here they are getting nervous because, allegedly, one of the couples satirized in the sketch (The Sandlers, not Adam) is threatening to sue.  Talk about hypocrisy.  Talk about lack of courage.  Talk about a convenient legal interpretation that actually stops the American public from learning the truth…. That’s our NBC!

For those who want to see this sketch (it’s good), Pat Dollard still has it up here – I think.  Good for Pat.

Gee all those fighters for the First Amendnment like Fey, are all for slandering and making others look silly, but when their work is suppressed by their fellow liberals, they remain silent.

Gives them a good look at their future careers…mouthpieces for the Obamamessiah.

buddy larsen:

Here’s a little pertinent info.

Could it be that after devastating the futures of thousands upon thousands of our poorer and less-educated citizens, and thousands upon thousands more pensioners and pensioners-to-be (all in order to make a fortune for themselves, a fortune of which they now share out small portions toward umm, progressive causes which (cough) help the little people), the Sandlers have lost their senses of humor?

This is a legit question –i often wonder about these things, and you’re a good person to ask for some light on the subjek.

I’m begining to think that this financial mess we’re in (the one the dem’s thought would help Obama)could possibly come back bite him the butt, when this all unravels.

sorry about the poor typing skills, I meant to say, come back AND bite him IN the butt.

This Bloomberg video discusses how the Sandler’s Golden West Financial wrecked Wachovia (an ancient old east coast ‘establishment’ bank) in the same ‘Goodfellas’ way that Fannie & Freddie wrecked –well, looks like damn near everything on the planet built up over the last 5 years –if not the last 50 years (yet).

Go Dems!

Article says the Sandlers bought Golden West in 1963 –quite a purchase for what must have been a couple of kids. Ah, young folks who know what they want out of life! Just like the Obamas! Warms your heart, don’t it just.

The SNL skit is hilarious. It is obvious why the left leaning top executives at NBC will use any excuse to pull it. If seen by the majority of the middle of the road voters—Barack Obama loses the election. Barney Frank also becomes the poster child of the Democratic Party. A few days ago the Massachusetts congressman was known only by those who take politics seriously. He richly deserves to be infamous.

NBC will be aggressively chasing this video from the standard video sharing sites for the next few weeks, I’m sure. However, you can download (and share) the SNL C-SPAN Bailout sketch via bit torrent here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/1885620

Bit torrent isn’t for everyone, but it is a lot easier than you think. You’ll need a good client link uTorrent or Azureus, but it is real easy to set up. The torrent has a very healthy swarm of seeders right now, ready to distribute the file. Once widely distributed, it isn’t coming down.

Also, the file is small enough to fit throught most email gateways. I’m not suggesting you spam everyone in your address book with it (please, don’t do that)… but you can email it to your parents and a few close friends, probably.

I saw the skit on Saturday night. I was quite shocked to see SNL satirize the sainted Barney Frank. As long as they are giving it to everybody, satire is a great thing, even when they give it to my side. But if it’s only one side that gets roasted, it’s not satire but a political endorsement.

No satire of Obama either.

Great skit, despite the obligatory dismissal of Bush as a moron.

The reference to Soros as “owner of the Democratic Party” was waaaaay too close to the truth.

In 1992 the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston got the whole sub-prime going with their ’study’ and report on suposed ‘redlining’. The head of the bank, and writer of the forward of the report was Richard Syron, friend of Barney Frank.

16 years later, a few weeks ago, Ricard Syron was fired from being the head of Freddie Mac where the New York Times reported he made near 30 million, and leaving us God knows how much debt.

Life is nice for governmentalists.

NBC has re-posted the video, but part of the Sandler bit has been cut–just the tail end of it. Most of the good stuff is still there.

Oct 7, 2008 - 8:19 pm 16. buddy larsen:

snip from a snip on up now on Instapundit:

In the original skit Sandler addresses Frank, saying, “And thank you Congressman Frank as well as many Republicans for helping block Congressional oversight of our corrupt activities.” To which Frank replies enthusiastically, “Not at all!” All that’s gone in the new version.

And now Keith Olbermann is being censored AND Fox isn’t allowed to talk about GE’s activities in Iran! Ah, how blissfully convenient for these megacorporations!
