It has long been my contention that the War on Terror (War on Islamofascism) will only be won if the Democratic Party owns it as well as the Republicans. (Roger)

There is a definite downside to this though. The Left's obsession with their contrived misinterpretation of "equality" leads them inexorably into moral equivalence dementia. If it finally dawns on the PC-addled minds of Obama and the Left that Islamic terrorism is a real threat and needs to be dealt with in realistic ways, then their inherent virus of equivalence must kick in and they will look for some one equally vile and threatening on "the other side,"....and we all know who they will single out as equally "intolerant," "violent," and "dangerous to wolrd peace, " - the Zionists (AKA the Jews.)

I see BDS is still alive and well amongst the usual culprits. I suppose it must be so hard to give up since it was the only thing that gave them a few fulfilling moments where they felt their lives had some purpose.

Does anybody know of a 12-step program for them?

Spoken like a draft dodger. I served. The clowns here did not.

Save my totally accurate comment for your daily dose of crow for the next 8 years, my friend.

Bush is a nitwit, and a loser.

He has screwed up not one but two wars.

He has managed the worst economy since the Great Depression.

Of course he is your hero ... ROTFL

Roger Simon is right on the mark with his call for a unified front of Republicans and Democrats against Jihadists and muslimextremists.
They are everywhere as the Mumbai Massacre showed us these last days.
Also praise for all the men and women fighting these ruthless enemies globally. They are invaluable in this secret war against the US, and other (non)muslim countries, like India.
The Bush-Bashers will have to put their money where their mouth is, as THEIR hero will soon lead the US for (at least) the next for years.
I have my doubts if BO really understands the necessity of fighting Islamic terrorism
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=E1129833-426F-43B0-8CD4-EB79DE8FF470.
Let’s hope Mumbai serves as a wake-up call for him and his supporters of talk at all cost.
Terrorists (and their supporters) like the ones in India represent intolerance , hate, violence and an insatiable lust for destructng everything and everyone of Western origin.
Let’s end my grim analysis by offering every American a Happy Thanksgiving. ; especially those who were not bewitched by mr. O.

Well said, Goose. It's hard to believe that there is a quarter of the population who thinks that Bush has been a great president and that the country has been on the right track. Incroyable!

I guess lefties and BO cultists don't observe Thanksgiving, the quintessentially American holiday (surprise!). No time off from their choleric, incoherent, factless rants.

Cognitive dissonance? Moi? Mais non. In my world, Bush is the worst president in history. He ignored a briefing from his intelligence agencies that told him in August of 2001 that Osama bin Laden was determined to strike in America. Instead, he went on a month long vacation in Crawford. He sat paralyzed and read "My Pet Goat" after being told in no uncertain terms that America was under attack. He vowed to get bin Laden "dead or alive" in the Fall of 2001. Seven years later, Bush is leaving. Bin Laden is still there, and Al Qaida and the Taliban are on the upswing. He attacked the one Arab country- Iraq- that was anathema to fundamentalist Muslims (it was easily the most Westernized, with alcohol being sold publicly, men being clean shaven, women in modern Western dress and holding positions of authority) and turned it into a junior jihadist Iran, another theocratic Islamic country in the making. Most impressive in the war against Islamic jihadists, don't you think?

Bush screwed up the military, which has had to lower their recruiting standards to Vietnam era standards and has had to pay out enormous bonuses to retain or attract warm bodies. Soldiers are now on their third and fourth deployments without respite. And don't forget what his administration did for the wounded- he gave them the awful conditions at Walter Reed (that was in his second term, years into his presidency) and tried to cut their VA benefits to save money.

He screwed up the economy with his infatuation with deregulation. He screwed up the environment and set back efforts to deal with global climate change by 8 years. (Healthy forest, clear skies, every initiative from his lexicon did the opposite of what the title suggested). Katrina exposed the politicization of FEMA and the exodus of competent professionals who had been attracted to the agency under Clinton. The Justice Department debacle under Alberto Gonzales and the U.S. Attorney scandal did more damage to that department than anyone since John Mitchell and Richard Kliendienst. (that's Watergate, circa 1972-1974). It's late, and I'm not going to go on for another 10 pages on everything in Bush's travesty of a legacy to the country- except for his taking a surplus and turning it into record deficits (over $500 billion annually) with record spending. Way to go you fiscally "conservative" Republicans! You took $5 trillion in debt and doubled it in less than 8 years!

Cognitive dissonance? Not so much on my side of the equation.
