Iran – an insane asylum goes nuclear

Does Mumbai give the Israelis license to bomb Iranian nuclear installations? That thought certainly want through my head in the last few days. And I imagine I am not the only one. Mumbai was a true act of religious mania and what we are witnessing in Iran is the same thing writ large. Does anyone want a country where police go around cracking down on “satanic dress“and closing un-Islamic barber shops to have nuclear arms? Sure, not all the mullahs are religious lunatics. Some are merely Mafioisi profiteering on religious lunatics (a relief!), but enough of them believe their psychotic ideology to take this really seriously. A nuclear armed Iran would be liking giving a loaded gun to an infant. No wonder the Israelis are preparing. Wouldn’t you under the circumstances?

Now, I am not advocating the “Barbara Ann” solution. But I am sure the Israelis are doing their saber rattling to wake everyone up, increase the sanctions. Will this happen? In this greedy world, I doubt it. But you gotta try.

Endless, almost entirely pointless sanctions only hurt the general population of Iran. Israel will do the dirty work the West scarcely gives lip service to. If a natural disaster were to wipe out all of Israel tomorrow, Iran (and all of radical Islam) would simply turn their attention, and their rockets elsewhere. And since nearly everyone is their sworn enemy, nearly everyone would be targeted. Hi Europe!

Go ahead and cue the trolls with the patented “warmonger” finger-wagging. That very political correctness keeps one hand behind our backs in this war we have waged in fits and starts. Every day the enemy shows that it has no such qualms about world opinion, yet we (the West) refuse to unite and properly clean house. Half measures only lead to a much greater toll down the road. Always.

I’ve put the following quote by Thomas Sowell from January 2, 2006 up here before; and almost three years later, it still perfectly summarizes this moment….

“The squeamishness, indecision, and wishful thinking of the West are its greatest dangers because the West has the power to destroy any other danger. But it does not have the will.”

Yeah Lightnin, I remember that ever since I discovered Thomas Sowell a couple of decades ago, I’ve wished I could vote for him for President.

James Burnham addressed this theme in his seminal Suicide of the West published in 1964. In their heart of hearts, today’s left-winger is usually a self-hating Westerner. There are few exceptions. Race guilt underpins much of this self hatred. White people are supposedly a cancer in the world and have no right to criticize the misbehavior of dark skinned individuals—who must always be perceived as victims. By the way, Shelby Steele and I seem to agree completely on this point.

What’s the ‘Barbara Ann’ Solution?

I was thinking of the Beach Boys song but that didn’t compute.

mhw, you’re close with the reference to the Beach Boys. It was something that McCain said jokingly.

Bomb Bomb Iran.

[future history]April 30th 2012: Today, at 0600 hours Baghdad time Iraqi forces crossed the Iranian border in response to raids by Iranian paramilitary forces. According to eyewitness accounts—many posted on blogs—Iraqi troops have penetrated deep into Iranian territory, and Iraqi special forces are reported as operating on the outskirts of Tehran. Tehran has denied these reports, but Iranian bloggers have podcast audio and video of the sounds of gunfire from locations east and south of the Iranian capital.[/future history]

All the saber rattling in the world will not protect Israel. Launching against Iran NOW, before the antisemite enters the White House, will protect Israel’s existence. Nothing short of that will stop catastrophe for Israel.

Israel has one chance against a nuked-up Jihad government: make absolutely certain that the Kremlin and the Chicom faction both understand that Israel will lauch-on-warning against their capitals, regardless of whence come the missiles in the sky heading toward Israel. IOW, let the totalitarian states-within-states police their own jihadi spawn. Yes –not the best situation by a long shot –but otherwise, short of a strike now and the endless intifada which may follow, what is there?
