PJTV in Honduras: CNN and Chavez on alert

I just got off Skype video with Chris Burgard – documentarian of Border and currently PJTV’s Man in Honduras. (Video here.) Chris just arrived in Tegucigalpa last night after a stormy ride from San Pedro Sula. He had to fly into Honduras’ second city because the airport in the capital was closed after the recent attempt by former president (or president – depending on your leanings) Mel Zelaya to land the other day. Zelaya says he is the victim of a coup and has considerable sympathy in our media

But, apparently, things are not what they seem from that media in the Central American country where, Chris tells me, everything is upside down. But let’s begin with something that is more like the same old, same old: According to Chris, the campesino-on- the-ground refers to CNN Español as the Chavez News Network. I am not surprised, having read this post from La Gringa’s Blogcito: “As crazy as this may sound, CNN is using feeds from Hugo Chávez’s Telesur network. Telesur have stooped to using a Zelaya impostor in a supposed phone-in interview with the Telesur reporter.”

Meanwhile, Burgard is hearing one of CNN’s major commentators from Honduras is the daughter of two leading Nicaraugan Sandinistas. Chris is in the process of checking this out, but CNN’s record in the Middle East (remember Eason Jordan) indeed raises suspicions. Chris further told me that Honduras’ El Heraldo is headlining Chavez’s heavy military involvement in their country. An online interview in El Heraldo with lawyer and security expert Mario Barrios details the Venezuelan strongman’s battle plan, which Chavez called “enjambre de abejas” or bee swarm.

That same campesino-in-the-street, Chris informs PJTV, is resolutely opposed to “communismo” à la Nicaragua and Venezuela and will resist violently if it is imposed from the outside. The Obama administration, however, is evidently taking a different tack. Just as it has in Iran, our government is pushing negotiation with the leftist Zelaya and his “continuismo.”

“Chavez News Network.”

How apropos.

I’m soooooooo glad I skipped lunch.

Jul 9, 2009 - 3:54 pm 3. Delia:

I’m going to be 100% honest.

I am freaking SCARED.

Jul 9, 2009 - 3:56 pm 4. Tri Geek:

I think I will go put on me “Che” T-shirt and hang out with Mike W, Sheesh, and PatJ. I guess there is no need to take a shower first.

I wish I could say that I am surprised.

During the first Gulf War, CNN execs admitted they used propaganda from Hussein’s flaks — pretty much unedited — in on-air “news” reports.

They said they did so, “in order to [be permitted to] maintain a presence” in Iraq.

“Maintain a presence?” To what purpose?

ROTFL! Oh good lawd! That’s an image that is going to be hard to erase out of my mind today. Thanks a lot!

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:06 pm 7. Tri Geek:

Sorry Delia. I guess it isn’t a pretty image. Although it is always fun to watch those clowns figure a way to validate a dictator.

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:09 pm 8. Moogie:

Sooo… let me get this straight: the news out of Honduras is being filtered through the Chavez news network, which is being picked up by our media and is filtered through the MSM’s liberal bias. I’d call that “pulp free” news, sort of like watery orange juice that’s had all of the vitamin C removed.

And of course, the complacent cud chewing masses here have no clue.

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:18 pm 9. David Thomson:

Why am I getting flashbacks regarding Herbert Matthews? Is he still alive and employed by CNN?

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:21 pm 10. zanne:

Moogie, Don’t you mean pulp fiction?

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:32 pm 11. Emphasis:

Honduras did wrong by agreeing to meet with Oscar Arias, he is not a friend of democracy, he is a friend of Fidel.

6. Tri Geek:

-And, yet…

They call ‘US’ crazyyyyyyyy wingnuts????

The scary thing is, I’ve lurked like a frighten kitten on some lefty websites and they brag that they WANT communism! Scary stuff.

7. Moogie:

Moogster, is that the ‘Pre-Chewed Charlie’s’ of news or what? Yes, you too can digest the pre-digested news without teeth, without two brain-cells to rub together and sitting on your La-Z-Boyyyyyyyyy with a hot-pocket in your lap and some Bud Light in your sippy cup.

WORD!

You know that saying, “I’ve got a bridge to sell ya”?

Sound oddly familiar nowadays?

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:38 pm 13. Delia:

The B.S. is shovel ready.

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:39 pm 14. Moogie:

#9 zanne: Good one! Fiction indeed.

Jul 9, 2009 - 4:54 pm 15. chrisa:

Your guy is lucky that the aeroport in Tegucigalpa was closed. That is a seriously scary approach.

Thanks for reporting the truth about Honduras.

Jul 9, 2009 - 5:17 pm 16. DavidN:

OK, we knew the media was in the pocket of the left, but recycling an official Chavez-run news channel and presenting it as a report from an American (with an international flavor, admittedly) media outlet? What will they think of next?

Jul 9, 2009 - 6:05 pm 17. David W. Lincoln:

Remember, news outlets that would be characterized as MSM operate this way. First priority: what makes sense to them. Second priority: what would their audience like.

Bernie Goldberg in “Bias” and “Arrogance” uses more words than that to describe the inner workings of that beast, but it basically boils down to the same thing.

Jul 9, 2009 - 6:33 pm 18. Tri Geek:

But Fox News……But Fox News……But Fox News. Okay, for all the liberal trolls, I got it covered, so we won’t need your input.

Jul 9, 2009 - 6:46 pm 19. Delia:

Will there be a ‘cigar’ Czar?

Will there be a ‘cheese’ Czar?

Will there be a ‘P0rn’ Czar?

Dear Roger L. Simon:

How many Czars does it take to screw in a ‘green’ light-bulb filled with toxic mercury?

WTF is wrong with the 0-admin with all of the ‘Czar’ Sh*t anyway? Talk about despot dreaming!

Has our Country become one big, idiotic crash-test dummy?

Jul 9, 2009 - 7:12 pm 20. Delia:

18. Tri Geek,

When Glenn Beck, O’Reilly, Hannity et al start saying the 0bama admin is doing ‘the right thing’…

Be afraid, very afraid.

Jul 9, 2009 - 7:15 pm 21. Tri Geek:

I am already afraid!

Jul 9, 2009 - 7:27 pm 22. Delia:

21. Tri Geek:

“I am already afraid!”

I know, huh? Nothing wrong with admitting you’re afraid. I’m freakin’ TERRIFIED myself.

The person in charge of our country hates everything it stands for. He is NOT vetted and our founding fathers made very specific rules in the Constitution because of this VERY THING happening.

I waver between absolute fury and disgust and a sense of real, palpable DOOM.

*swipes tear*

“WTF is wrong with the 0-admin with all of the ‘Czar’ Sh*t anyway? Talk about despot dreaming!”

The thing about dreams is sometimes they come true. “Climate Czar” Carol Browner got in the swing of things by insisting that the execs involved in the Auto Industry Task Force “put nothing in writing, ever” regarding CAFE standards. Makes you wonder if they pat ‘em down to check if they’re wearing a wire, too. If I was dealing with this bunch I’d want to tape one of those “tell the world my story” videos for safe keeping….j-u-u-u-st in case.

Jul 9, 2009 - 7:45 pm 24. Tri Geek:

I toured Hiroshima. As did the Japanese, I know we can rebuild our beautiful country after the utter destruction that will be left following the Obama gang. It won’t be easy.

Jul 9, 2009 - 8:00 pm 25. Delia:

23. Lightnin’ Hopkins & 24. Tri Geek:

Okay, okay.

I’m freakin’ out enough as it is. Now, how do we right all of this ‘WRONG’? I really would like to sleep tonight but, between not eating and freakin’ the frick out…I’m probably going to be wigged all night trying to out-think our adversaries who clearly want to see us fall apart while they live large and in charge.

*stomps feet*

Sorry, I had to have a pouty fit for a hot minute.

Release the houuuuuuuuuuunds!

PULL!

Grrrrrrrowl!

Jul 9, 2009 - 8:09 pm 26. Delia:

The thing I fear worst?

Is, our economy hiccups and levels out just enough for people to be lulled into socialism out of laziness and seeking ‘comfort’.

When we are ’sheeple’ we are at our most vulnerable.

Jul 9, 2009 - 8:37 pm 27. Sandra:

When can we consider CNN enemy military combatants?

Jul 9, 2009 - 10:03 pm 28. Robohobo:

Tri Geek @ 4: “I guess there is no need to take a shower first.”

Not before but after, I am sure.

Delia, don’t be scared. Where do you think the $80billion has gone that has been poured into guns and ammo by the people since last fall? We got it covered should things get too weird.

Honduras understands that they may have to fight to preserve hard fought freedoms earned with the blood of Honduran patriots.

27. Sandra:

“When can we consider CNN enemy military combatants?”

LOL! I remember when my husband would jokingly call ‘CNN’ the ‘Clinton News Network’!

This is much, much worse though. *sick, sad sigh*
~
28. Robohobo,

I hope it never has to come to that but I trust my fellow patriots, military and police to stand by our constitution should the worst come to pass.

Semper Fidelis indeed.

United.

“Honduras understands that they may have to fight to preserve hard fought freedoms earned with the blood of Honduran patriots.”

I wish I had that kind of bravery and willingness to fight in my spirit. My ‘freedom’ has spoiled me. I am ashamed that I am not as strong as my brethren and sisters fighting for their humanity, little lone their ‘freedom’ in other parts of the world.

Thank you Pajama Media, Mr. Simon and my friend Chris for reporting from my adopted country. I am an American missionary living and ministering here in the Constitutional Republic of Honduras.
The battle here is not just between the expresident Zelaya vs the legal president Micheletti. The real spiritual war is evil vs good-lies vs truth-darkness vs light-slavery vs liberty-the kingdom of God vs the kingdom of satan. The battle is Chavez, Castro, Ortega, Obama vs the rule of law and a Represenative Republic.
During the attempted return of the Chavez puppet Zelaya, two young men were murdered at the air port. Of course, it was blamed on the Honduran military, and president Micheletti, by the anticonstitutional Zelaya mob. As it turned out, one man was shot by some one in the procommunist criminals crowd.
In todays news paper El Heraldo page 61, it is reported that the other, 19 year old Obed Murillo, was murdered by his own father Jose David Murillo 53 years old, apparently to help Zelaya make the government look bad to the world and geather opposition to Honduras. Almost looks like human (child) sacrifice to the gods of tyrrany.
The truth will triumph in Honduras. God is on its side. Honduras its government, police, military, congress, courts, and its people have made their stand. What will you do?
God bless America!!
Viva Honduras!!

I have a business that relies on the Post Office. I would really like to leave America but I’m stuck because of that. I’ve lost two decades of savings/investments since it looked like the O was going to win.

Robohobo: “Delia, don’t be scared. Where do you think the $80billion has gone that has been poured into guns and ammo by the people since last fall? We got it covered should things get too weird.”

Right, many people forget that the most important reason for gun ownership is to keep politicians in line. So sad that Iranians don’t have the right to bear arms.

Jul 10, 2009 - 11:06 am 34. Tri Geek:

For all you Lefty Trolls out there– Please PROVE to us that Obama is not a Communist.

Jul 10, 2009 - 2:52 pm 35. Frank:

Don’t meddle in Iran, but meddle in Israel and Honduras… a.k.a ignore freedom where it is trying to take root, interfere and help tyranny where it is trying to take root

Jul 10, 2009 - 7:19 pm 36. gcblues:

i have been warning people on this site about ALBA for over three years. not long after i posted my video of daniel and rosario, la diabla, ortega riding by my house in rivas. the connections with Iran, Al Queida etc. that the goals for los extranos, or powers out of the region were hegemonic power projection, for ALBA, it is usurpation.
i seem to remember 6 years ago citing chavez as the mugabe of south america, only to hear a year later kondracke use the same phrase.

still no one is serious. this all a direct causation effect beginning with the bay of pigs fiasco. latin america at one time was the most anti communist part of the world. argentina sided with berlin in ww2, although officially neutral, simply because they thought hitler was the hope to destroy stalin. i live in central america. in 2004, when i bailed out of the rat hole USA, only cuba and venezuela were run by communists. today freedom is crumbling everywhere, and do not exclude the USA from that. the media. education. industry. everything soon to be run by left wing ant farmers that hate you. they hate the people. they have disdain for freedom. their only care is for themselves and power. ditto for maobama.

all the warnings i posted, and people laughed. they think the real enemies are Mexicans and Islam. pathetic. sorry but i am teed off big time watching this down hear. for most of you communism is theoretical. come down here and meet some real communists please.
