Essential VDH.

It is now amazing how the MSM, Algore and the liberal idiot elite are fools playing a fools game with the politics of "Global Warming". A "Trojan Horse" built by fools
to take down America from the inside.

The Hollywood fools including Algore do not even understand the consequeces of their false beliefs--they get/buy carbon gift certificats to maintain their lifesyle and "conscience" with no reduction in C02. Fools define themselves by what they do and what they say.

A fool is always a fool and those who would follow a fool and those "scientists" who have signed on to this "Global Warming" scare farce for political and funding reasons become the fools. They need to be called out for their self defining ignorance and lack of integrity.

They the "scientists" are not telling the full story of how the earth works and the energy/life cyles. Life cycles that depend on C02 to make oxygen and the other complex systems that cool the earth even as it heats up and then cools down. They do not deserve to be called what they are not---scientists---For scientists they are not.

They have to be the result of the long on going melt down of the classic American educational system. They have not assimulated core American values. Values that would make them real scientists without haveing to"load the dice".

They lack character, integrity, and the courage needed to take on the world as it is and not how they say it is---just so that because of their fears others can support them with politically correct governmental funding, controls and taxation.

A fool has no bounderies for their foolishness. Our fore fathers were right. That is why we are a Republic, we do not have to participate in "majority" group think to thrive in Ameria, not yet anyway. We certainly don't have to follow fools.

It however has only taken over 200 years for our Supreme Court judges to go down the fools path.

For liberals, the earth is "dying" the Constitution is "living" and open to interpretation by "fools".

For the rest of us we con stop buying their music, stop going to their movies, stop voting for them and do as individuals what we do every day. Support our families, our businesses and for America do what ever it takes. Many good men and women have paid the ultimate price to create America. It should not be given away to fools based on a fools tale.

Watching the hysterical and inaccurate reporting this AM about the alleged attempt on the life of the VP I thought, "This is nuts." Those Taliban clowns might as well have been firing sling shots at Air Force 2 as it left town. The "great" terrorists didn't even get past the first line of defense.

The media needs to JOIN the war instead of aiding and assisting the enemy.

Either completely STOP reporting all suicide bomb attacks (car, truck, bike) or call them for what they are: "Another failed and cowardly suicide bomb attack by the militarily inpotent Islamists."

Giving them the press allows them to continue their fantasy that they are winning and breaking our will. If we stop reporting on their miserable failures or calling them for what they are, the zietgist changes.

If no Americans are killed, most Americans could care less how many fellow Muslims were killed in a suicide attack; sad but true.

We don't report on the front page every car wreck in every big American city, so why does this gather so, so much attention?

These clowns are just a bunch of losers. They might as well be throwing rocks most of the time.

VDH, please use your forum and publicize this idea. The great "champions" of press "neutrality" will never buy it, but they need to be called on it.

I'm tired of this "if it bleeds, it leads" scam that only helps the enemy.

This is no forum for cycling discussion, but helmets are a sensitive issue. Statistically, more riders are injured in falls and crashes than are struck by cars.
Anecdotally, a friend was struck on the back of the head by an extended rear side mirror on a passing pickup. Yes, he was fortunately wearing a helmet. You may choose your humvee up-armored or factory stock.

Biking in biking gear, may be dangerous to your health. On ABCs 20/20 2/23/07 John Stossel did a segment on a report that drivers give more room to bikers w/o helmets.

Prof. Hanson.....on a casual note, I am one of those lycra-clad riders whom you mention-- but I take no offense. I sometimes ride local country roads in jeans and sweatshirt, and that sense of re-connection to my youth in the 1950's Central Valley is both a lovely and reassuring thing. So, I say, "Ride on" or, in French racing vernacular, "Allez!"

**I am very much enjoying excerpts from your upcoming novel and await publication.

Victor, notwithstanding the question of which California you are living in, but this has hardly been, in my California "one of the coldest winters in memory."

In fact, it's barely rained this winter.
