I agree that Obamacare will never get off the ground. For openers, Obama spent the money. We have an economy that is recovering nicely on its own without benefit of the stimulus. That debt sits quietly over on the side for now. I believe we will see more and more democrats turn away. After all, they don’t want their names attached to another failed socialist program. We have enough of failed programs, medicare, welfare, veterans benefits….the list goes on.

I think it’s dead. The One killed it by letting Pelosi and Obey spend on everything they could think of, plus a few extras, in the initial “stimulus” and 2009-10 budgets. People’s antennae are up for more big spending, and another big boondoggle simply won’t have the support to pass.

I’m less optimistic. I think it’s all just theatrical opposition.

It would take a major shift in many Democrat’s thinking to stop this ball from rolling.

And there’s nothing Republicans can do.

Let’s hope for a change in 2010.
