Under the Obama Plan, only taxpayers making more than $250,000 per year will see a tax increase, except for the ones making more than $200,000.
It’s tax code limbo!

Jul 7, 2009 - 3:43 pm 4. Silicon Valley Jim:Any guesses on what the final threshold for a surtax or otherwise higher income tax rate will be? I’m in for $100K for a married couple filing jointly.

Jul 7, 2009 - 7:18 pm 6. Tim:Two people familiar with closed-door talks by committee Democrats said a House bill probably will include a surtax on incomes exceeding $250,000, as Congress seeks ways to pay for changes to a health-care system that accounts for almost 18 percent of the U.S. economy.
The proposal is for a surtax for incomes above $250,000 not $200,000. Nice headline though!
