Cute little rodent, but is it really worth $16 million?

Well, in an age when government is learning to get by on more, more, more, I suppose it is.

You say “16 million dollars” like its a valuable commodity, and back when the greenback was the virtual spinal column of western civilization, it was. Today, the US Dollar competes with the coinage from Chuck E. Cheese in arbitrage markets and on most days, Chuck wins.

These days 16 million “US Federal FunBucks” will serve the Salt Marsh Mouse best by being shredded into EPA approved nesting material.

Yeah! Its green (kind of), and it’s recyclable! And it’s…um…carbon-neutral! (At least we claim it is).
