Via Hot Air, we learn that the chairman of the Iranian human rights committee (sic) is all in favor of stoning its citizens to death:
Somebody ought to tell Michael Hirsh, who thinks the regime is “subtle.”

Saeed:At dawn of the day July the 9th 2007 all of the members of the central committee of “Daftar-Tahkim-Vahdat”, a student organization which is known as the leader of the student movement in Iran, were arrested by the security guards.
Ali Vefghi, Bahare Hedayat, Mohammad Hashemi, Ali Nikoonesbati, Mehdi Arabshahi and Hanif Yazdani held a sit-in in front of AmirKabir university in commemoration of the eighth anniversary of the day July 9th 1999 in which security guards and police forces attacked the dormitory of Tehran university (Kooye-Daneshgah) and violated human dignity eight years ago. The sit-in was also held because of the unlawfull detention of eight AmirKabir students who were sent to jail, the Evin prison, 60 days ago.
After arresting the six members of the central committee at the beginning hours of the day, the security guards attacked the building of the “Iranian alumini organization” Party. They broke the door, rushed in, beated and arrested the all 9 student activitists who were inside. The hearings indicate that they are all in the notorious “Evin” prison.
In this attack The gaurds also arrested ABDOLLAH MOMENI a senior Iranian student movment and the spokesman of Iranian alumini organization” .
The reports also said that gaurds used their weapon and shut at least 2 bullet when they try to arrest abdolah momeni and other students activitists
Morteza Eslahchi, Masoud Habibi, Mojtaba Bayat, Saeid Hasannia, Bahram Fayyazi, Mohammad Hossein Mehrzad, Arash Khandel, Ezzatollah Ghalandari and Habib Haj Heydari are the other detained ones.
In the last four days the Iranian civil society has responded to such an unjustifiable behaviour of the security guards. About 1200 individuals of the Iranian women movement, more than 420 intellectuals, and 34 student unions which had elected the members of the central committee of the “Daftar-Tahkim-Vahdat”, has signed different statements warning the security guards and those in power to respect human rights and personal and social freedoms

“In the of name Allah, the compassionate, the merciful. Stoning does exist in our law and it is based on Islamic Sharia.”
He believes in a compassionate and merciful God, and he belives the same God approves the stonning!!

Jul 18, 2007 - 9:51 am kourosh:I wish I knew why Socialists International, LeftOver Marxist, and anti-US forces in general, and European in particular hate Iranian people so much. The support that is given by these entities to murderous regime of Khomeinists despite all human rights including women rights abuses is astonishing to say the least. Of course the recent polling of Iranian people who have largely (79%) expressed their support of US doesn’t help Europeans attitude either. However, LeftOver Marxists should not support Murderous regime in Iran against Iranian people just because they expressed their feelings. I promise when the regime changes in Iran, Iranian people would through few pieces of bread in European direction as well.
Even when President Bush steadfastness in dealing with N. Korea somewhat has produced a fruit, instead of praising President Bush for his success in N. Korea, LeftOver Marxists gangs the N. Korean story with Khomeinists using the same heading. What did Khomeinists Taliban regime occupying Iran has done that humans (non-Marxists) missed? Here is the evidence:

Jimmy Carter
Father of the Iranian Revolution
June 20, 2007
The Jerusalem Post
By: Michael D. Evans
“Let’s look at the results of Carter’s misguided liberal policies: the Islamic Revolution in Iran; the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan (Carter’s response was to boycott the 1980 Moscow Olympics); the birth of Osama bin Laden’s terrorist organization; the Iran-Iraq War, which cost the lives of millions dead and wounded; and yes, the present war on terrorism and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.”
Jul 19, 2007 - 4:18 pm kourosh:Yes as much as LeftOver Marxists, Liberal Media, and some in Europe try to blame everything on Bush, Carter (the most unqualified President in US history) was the man who brought OBL and Khomeinie to power. Now the same media, who supported Carter, is trying to shove the wife of the most manipulative President in American history (Hillary) in our throat, an angry women with no qualifications whatsoever. The very reason that liberal media support Clinton’s wife is the fact that she can bring down US to its knees and make it a third world country like the rest of the world. Only God can save our nation.
As strength as it looks, it seems that the Jihadists, Islamists, Khomeinist / Talibans are really influencing the political landscapes around the world.
For example anti-American and Islamist appeasing forces in UK trying to use laws designed for humans to allow terrorists to sue Americans in British soil. One reason as always is of course making money any which way you can from wealthy and stupid Arab Sheikhs, but the other reason is messing up the relationship between the two countries. Here is the evidence:

Add this to daily reports against those who report on the truth, like Daily Star report against Lisa Goldman

And an investigation by the Council of Europe into the CIA program,

It seems that Islamists have been able to destroy US-Europe relationship.

Why should mullahs of Iran stop making nuclear bomb, killing American soldiers, supporting international terrorist groups, expanding their influence in every possible part of the globe,….?
Who in the world has a better bunch of bastard friends like El Baradei, Solana and almost other high ranking EC statesmen?
Add to this a bewildered good-for-nothing US administration.
For me Bush and Carter are the two sides of the same medallion. One supported mullahs by his actions and the other is supporting them by his inaction.
The West has decided to help mullahs by suspending the issue of even a new watery useless UNSC resolution during the past months and yet -Attacks in Iraq last month reached their highest daily average since May 2003 - according to Reuters
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN2041643720070721
God save the idiots!
ML: Don’t believe Reuters, please. It will only confuse you further, and we are all confused enough. But you are certainly right about the fecklessness of the “West.”
A few years ago, some Lebanese Christian leader said “the Western world should either defend us or change its name,” which I thought at the time was a terrific metaphor…I still think so.
